GoT 7x02 FULL REACTION

Here we go guys with another AMAZING episode! I hope you enjoy my reaction and I can't wait to read your comments :)

GoT 7x02 FULL REACTION

Comments

heh, made me chuckle when you seemingly was dismissive of Melissandre saying, "I don't know, maybe the 'Lord of Light' TOLD her."

Thadman

Man, Euron took out 2 of Dany's major players in one fell swoop, the Dorns and the Ironborn. Beforehand I was saying, "Tyrion had a really good plan." Then this and I was like 'Ohhh, well, c'mon. Who coulda seen THAT comin'?"

Thadman

Heh, Hot Pie was surprised Arya was pretty. Most of the time he knew her, he thought she was a boy. xD

Thadman

I loved your reaction to the Dany/Varys conversation. So many see that whole exchange through very tinted lenses, with a bias for or against Dany. But if you look at the scene objectively, what we are seeing is a ruler who can be very intimidating and scary, but who really does just want to help the people. She wants Varys to tell her when she's messing up, which means she acknowledges that she might make mistakes, and that she wants an opportunity to fix them rather than have everyone turn on her behind her back. What a perfect mix of intimidating and compassionate...

I think the reason the sigil hasn’t changed is more practical, it’s expensive to animate! :) I’m curious to see how/if the map changes in Season 8 at all. :)

Janeka Rector

Yeah, he said in his first draft they were gonna end up together but he changed his mind. I’m glad! Gendry is Arya’s man ;) Where the hell is that guy...still rowing in the riverlands?! Gendrya were my first GoT ship.

Fran E

Yeah that was Nymeria. Arya saying "that isn't you" means that she's no longer the wolf that she raised. Her place is now living in the wild with her own pack. Her old life is in the past.

Nezaeya

A wolf is no one.

Maia Momo

Yes me too i secretly lil bit ship them. But i’ve heard somewhere that in the book jon and arya had romantic relationship but the author changed it? Not sure

Maia Momo

Since there was a bit of romance in this episode, maybe this is the right time to ask this question...How do you feel about the JonSa ship? It's kinda controversial but semi popular. He's certainly very protective of Sansa :P And they don't know it yet, but they're not siblings (not that that has stopped people before lol). In the GoT world it's quite common for cousins to marry...which is what they are technically. Anyway, I'll admit I sorta ship it. They argue like an old married couple and have a ton of chemistry!

Fran E

^ I totally agree! You're probably the only reactor that I've seen so far that hasn't gone off on Theon for abandoning Yara and everyone. He was still obviously traumatized by something that hadn't happened too long ago. It wasn't like he was planning on betraying her. Besides, what good would it have done if he stayed? He would've gotten captured or killed. He couldn't fight Euron off. I've always had a soft spot for him ever since the whole ramsay thing, he can't just immediately revert to being a brave strong man after everything.

I know I'm commenting waaay too much XD But can I just say, this GoT reaction proves yet again why you are one of the best reactors out there for this show. A lot of people/reactors got super mad and annoyed at Theon for running away, calling him weak, a bitch, a coward etc. But you knew that it was because of PTSD and that he reverted back to being Reek at that moment. lol I started clapping as soon as you said that! ^^ great reaction Juli

I love that scene so much and the fact that it connects back to Ned makes me super emotional for some reason XD. As soon as Arya said "that's not you" I knew exactly what she meant. but I understand why so many people miss what the scene meant. The only reason I knew what it meant straight away, was because the scene with Ned and Arya sitting on the staircase talking always reminds me of a conversation I had with my dad... and it went exactly like the one on the show XD

Billieboi

I think you're right about the Baratheon sigil in the intro. There are different speculations as to why it didn't change to The Lannister sigil. the main one is pretty reasonable though. It because Cersei might still be viewed as a Baratheon. She married into the Baratheon family and her children were Baratheon (even though we know that's not true). Which means, since all her kids are dead, her claim to the throne rests ONLY on the fact that she still has a connection to the Baratheon name. or else she would be viewed as an usurper I believe.

Billieboi

Yup, Rhaegar is Daenerys's brother. So she's Jon's aunt. And when Arya said "that's not you" it was a throwback to the time in season 1 when she said "that's not me" when ned was talking about marrying her to a noble man. She's basically saying that Nymeria belongs in the wild

That was Nymeria, what Arya ment when she said that's not you was remember when Ned told Arya you are going to grow up and marry a Lord like Sansa and make babies in season 1,she looked at her dad and said no, that's not me. Arya new she would never be a proper lady and she didn't want that life. Nymeria is free and wild, going to Winterfell would not be good for her. That's why she said that's not you.
