Yeah you are right, Lip feels a lot of pressure right now and the fact everyone keeps telling him how good he can be I understand now how he takes that as something wrong. It's not like he has a good example on anyone to live a good life.

2018-07-09 03:22:08 +0000 UTCoh my god, i don't remember carl chasing after lip...that broke my heart, poor baby. Carl did look up to lip a lot. I remember crying the first time i saw that. Sometimes it's hard to remember Carl was just a little kid deep inside, even if he doesn't act like it. Those moments make you remember that. I deadass hate Karen and always have since she raped Frank. Like, after that, I couldn't stand her and this was the episode where there was no going back. For Ian, I do think that he's the most STABLE of all the gallaghers. He has his moments later on, but at the end of the day, he's still the most stable to me. She's disgusting. Lip is my second favorite character, and i think if you take a moment to look at things from his perspective, you can see all the pressure that's on him. Think back to the things people have said to him; Kevin telling him that he needs to be a role model, Fiona saying he's the only one in the family with the 'golden ticket and to not waste it', his counselor saying he is the only one with potential in that town. Like, of course we see that as positive things, but to him it's a big weight on his shoulders. He knows he's smart, he knows he can do it, but with all those lights on him and all that pressure to be the best, it can be hard. It discourages him, I think. It's a wasted talent to him, cause I don't think he really WANTS a job with the skills he has. Like say if you have a good singing voice, but you don't want to be a singer. That's how I see it. I don't think he ever wanted to be a successful, rich, smart guy. I think he just wants an average life. Not where he's at now, but more middle class. I think he's pretty stupid here and should just finish school, but I get why he thinks the way he does, even if I don't agree with him. At some points, it does seem like they just want him to get a good job so he can provide for them. Fiona changed the deal without even consulting him or talking about it. Fiona can be a big hypocrite when it comes to Lip. You'll see that a lot, and it's one of the reasons why she annoys me at times.
