this is why dany is no more morally superior to Cersei... Jon forgave traitors, Dany burns them.

You're right! The Tyrells were allied with the Baratheons and Lannisters. But that doesn't change the fact that house Tarly swore fealty to house Tyrell. When they (The Tarly's) Allied themselves with the Lannisters, they did betray the house they swore fealty too, The Tyrells. We can go on and on about who was allied with who, and which house betrayed which. The fact is that allegiances change all the time! that why it's not logical to call one a Crime and the other one Justice, like you said. And I thought I already explained my point about Dickon. He made the choice to stand with his father and die, he knew what he was doing! It's not about necessity, The Tarly's are a very proud and honorable house! Dany honored them by allowing them to choose and respecting their decision to die for their cause.

tyrells was allied with baratheon and lannisters before that, lol tarly's is a house with longer history/Since you have opposite opinion, pls explain how burning a very young heir of a prestigeous westerosi house was necessary?

Vad Rom

Who is "Everyone"?? I guess that doesn't include me then. So one is a crime and another one justice? The Tarly's were more than just "prisoners of war". The Tyrells allied themselves with Dany. The Tarly's were pledged to house Tyrell. They betrayed their ledge Lords AND they allied themselves with the enemy "the Lannisters". You're telling me that Jon killing Janos for literally talking back to him is justice, but this is a crime??? DESPITE all this, Danny gave them an opportunity to bend the knee... Which the Tarly's rejected. Dickon made his choice as well, period! Why should she force him to bend the knee if he would rather die... That's his choice! And as I said, going back on her word would make her look weak.

Billieboi

Yes it matters and it's makes it way more questionable - executing traitors is justice, executing prisoners of war is a crime - if you goin to burn everyone who dosn't bend the knee - you gonna be called tyrant/And you telling me burning this dickon guy was necessary?Everyone understand that was opposite to necessary...

Vad Rom

Does it matter? The fact that it wasn't her own men makes it less questionable imo. And in terms of her using fire. She is a Targaryen, she has dragons who breath fire... It's the Targaryen way, death by fire was connected to the Targaryens long before the Mad King's era, hence the words "Fire and Blood". Her father enjoyed burning people, not because it was necessary but rather fun. He literally laughed as people burned. Dany did no such thing.

Billieboi

We should not be that serious abt the incest tho, it is just a show haha, I like Jon and Danny together and as you said they do have chemistry haha

FurkanK

Totally diffrent things - Robb and Jon executed his own mans, who betrayed their commanders - Dany executed prisoners of war - and more to this she executed them with her famouse father favourite way.

Vad Rom

This episode had another controversial scene that many people seem to disagree on, which is the scene where Dany executes the Tarly’s. I will always defend her when it comes to that scene. Imo, Jon Snow and Rob Stark have done similar things, yet no one disagreed with them. At castle black, Jon Snow executed Janos Slynt (for disobeying an order) because it would have made him look weak as a ruler if he didn't. Jon gave Janos an order, but he chose to disrespect Jon in front of everyone…Janos apologised right before he got killed and wanted to take Jon up on his offer, But Jon knew that as a ruler he couldn't go back on his word, because rulers can't be seen making half-assed decisions, they must set rules that are clear... So, Jon killed him, so did Dany. Another example is Rob Stark, who was trying to take Kings landing just like Dany is. He was the king of his people, which gave him the right to execute Karstark (After he killed those innocent Lannister boys, which Rob said were not to be harmed). He gave Karstark orders, that he didn't follow, so Rob killed him. People around Rob advised him not to execute him because they needed the Karstark’s support and army, but he did it anyway BECAUSE yet again, he made it clear what his orders were and Karstark disobeyed them.. So, he killed him for it..... Just like Dany did with the Tarly’s. This was an execution done after a battle, the people involved were warriors who understood the rules of war. The Tarly’s made their choice... She honoured that choice by killing them quickly.

Billieboi

Yes, the connections she is making are pretty amazing. I had to have stuff explained to me after the fact with people who knew the characters more inside out. Usually people that have read the books and then would give analysis. I went seasons with not getting peoples' names straight not to mention their family histories.

Thadman

Heh, an episode ago or so you were saying that Jon should just bend the knee and that his pride was getting in the way a bit, but now you see how quickly the northerners were willing to turn on him as soon as he went south. It wasn't really about personal pride with him. He knew that they wouldn't follow him anymore if he just bent the knee quickly. Dany said that his people would follow him since they chose him to be king, but I was like, "Uh, I'm not so sure about that. His kingship is a bit more shaky than her queenship."

Thadman

Well Juli, you wanted someone dead. I was like, "Wait for it...aaand there's the Tarleys."

Thadman

Nothing goes over her head. Her reflexes are too fast, she would catch it.

I'm glad that the revelation of the annulment didn't pass over your head aha

Remember Sam just lost his father and brother from Danny’s attack. And Jon just joined forces with her.

Christopher simeon

Tyrion has never touched Drogon,he touched the other 2 dragons. You got only 2 episodes left, yeyyy.
