2017-11-15 14:28:26 +0000 UTCi think the reason stefan wants elena to become human so bad aside from the fact that he thinks she can't handle it is bc when he came to mystic falls he was searching for a human life, he wanted a human girlfriend, he wanted the human version of katherine. Now that elena has become a vampire it disrupts this ideal version of life he's been conjuring up in his head. Also I think he's afraid elena will outgrow him, she's a vampire now which means she can experience life on a whole other level, a level stefan can't experience with her bc he's afraid he'll turn into a ripper. It was much easier for stefan to supress his vampire side when elena was human. Damon doesn't have this problem, like he said, he's fine with her either way. Damon doesn't love human elena, he doesn't love vampire elena, he just loves elena for who she is. He doesn't see her as two people, to him she's just one elena.
