You actually should start The Originals 1x01 at the same time as The Vampire Diaries 5x01. They just put the pilot at 4x20 to see how people would react. There are a few crossover episodes so to make sure you don't get spoilers from one or the other, you should wait until season 5 to start The Originals.

True Delena had fight and conquer so many obstacles. The writers put them through so many tests and trials and honesty that’s what always made them more compelling to me as a ship. The didn’t have it easy, they weren’t the golden couple like Stelena. Delena was the underdog ship of the show, they had to fight and earn every thing, their friendship, trust, loyalty, the first kiss, the “I love yous” they had to go through it stage by stage. The creators of the show once said that they didn’t just want to throw them together because they’d regret it later. They wanted to see it all go down slowly, they wanted them moments to feel earned.

I think the writers are using reverse psychology on us lol 😂 At least for me, the fact that Delena had to fight for each other was part of what made me fall so in love with them. I think building up a relationship like this (having them go through all these struggles) will eventually make them so much stronger and more robust than if everything came easy like it did with Stelena. I feel like the writers on PLL did the same thing with Emison as well. Having to fight for a ship makes us so much more passionate about them.

Elena without emotions are my absolute favorite episodes!! I don't ship Caroline and Stefan mostly because I'm Klaroline till I die and I ship Stefan with someone else later on in season 5

Julie YES you love emotionless Elena!!!! This is the Elena who is MOST blunt notice she has her emotions off but what she's saying isn't a lie....She's telling the truth and that scene with her and Damon she basically admitted she didn't choose him the first time because she was afraid of facing what a relationship with Damon would bring towards her/what her friends would think about it etc...But she had already been in love with Damon way before the SB was just too afraid to admit it....This season is really about Elena finding herself/growing and accepting her vampirisim....Nina is so amazing with how she can differentiate her characters you automatically know when it's Katherine/Elena. Delena in New York will be something to see can't wait til you see that episode!!! All roads lead towards Delena which is why the writers put so many obstacles in front of them...Both Damon and Elena still have a lot of growing to do together and separately ...I know you're on break for your son and hope the best for you two and thank you for doing what you always do...Making us happy with these reactions...I love them!!!!

My opinion about Delena is this ship was always about back and forth between Damon & Elena, this is why Delena is so exiting and interesting. Some DE fans stoped shipping them after Delena became a couple, cuz it wasn't that interesting anymore, which is a very stupid and hypocritical of them. Some people were tired of Delena's complicated relationship with all problems in their way. So I think you need to get used to their tragic and dramatic story 😄 it's really exticing though)

& yes Juli i saw it too...the writer do put more obstacles in DELENA's way ..but i don't think they're trying to put us off though...as annoying as it was at the time watching it again & also always believing in Delena, i see that you cant rush true love and they will end up together, Stefan is and was easy with Elena, he was her first love not her true love/ I believe the writers are showing us that the road to true love isnt easy it has twists, bumps, turns and many obstacles in it way. Delena wouldnt feel as good as it does otherwise

i LOVE emotionless Elena lol shes a badass, the only time i don't like her is when shes trying to hurt & use Damon. I'm sorry but she kicked Caroline's ass in this episode and kind of bullied her ...it was so funny & cool to see Elena be in charge for once. & love the fact that Caroline thought she could easily beat/stop Elena, but baby vamp Elena is actually stronger and a better fighter than Caroline which is pretty cool......& so excited for you to start The Originals Juli, i think your gonna love Klaus after season 1 or during...especially when he meets a special character in that show....& even more excited for season finale reaction.

I think Stefan wanted Damon to tell Elena that it's hard and tough what she's going through but everything's gonna be okay. Using the sirebond maybe Elena will listen to Damon. Just like when you're giving your condolences to a friend who lost someone they loved.
