2018-02-21 10:09:05 +0000 UTCHi Juli! I've been waiting for SO LONG to be able to finally talk to you about this finale! 4x23 will always remain one of my top three favorite episodes of the series. To me, this is my favorite finale of the series (with the series finale as a close second) for many reasons. So let's break it down because there's A LOT to talk about. But FIRST OFF PLEASE REMEMBER: WATCH 5X01 OF TVD, THEN 1X01 AND 1X02 OF THE ORIGINALS BEFORE 5X02 OF TVD!!! I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH! IT'S SO IMPORTANT BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT WENT BASED ON AIR DATE! Alright, back to this finale. For starters, Delena. Can I just say how beautiful their moment in this episode was. Not only did this finale FINALLY give us the answer to Elena’s true feelings towards Damon (because trust me, you weren’t alone with the frustration about wanting to know if she truly loved him or not. I remember watching this episode air live and just waiting for her to have that conversation with Damon and admit how she felt) but this finale finally showed that deep down, we were right and no matter how many people denied it or said Elena would choose Stefan after the sire bond, she truly loves Damon and her feelings were real before she even turned into a vampire. Their moment in this finale will always be epic and I still have that scene memorized by heart word for word because it’s so beautiful. I bawled my eyes out when it aired live because it was one of the most beautiful love confessions I had ever witnessed and I shipped Delena so hard from the pilot episode so seeing it finally truly happen without a sire bond in the way of anything was so satisfying. And don’t worry, Season 5 will have a ton of Delena so just enjoy, because we all did. Moving on, Klaroline. Now I know you’re not a huge Klaroline shipper Juli, but they were so beautiful this episode and that confession Klaus made to Caroline about intending to be her last love will always be epic for us Klaroline shippers (and for those of us who have watched all the seasons for both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, it’s even more dear to our hearts right now. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil anything.) The fact that Klaus would be so selfless for Caroline and give her what she truly wanted during that time, rather than what he wished during that moment for her to come with him to New Orleans, just shows how much he loves her. I love them so much and am looking forward for you to see more of them. I won’t spoil anything, but that won’t be the last time you see them together. Lastly, this finale was so epic because it gave me epic moments with my favorite ships of the show. Delena, Klaroline, Matt and Rebekah (their moment was so beautiful and I’m so happy for them. Our baby Rebekah deserves happiness so much.) Bonnie and Jeremy (I love them so much and their scene in this finale was both beautiful and heartbreaking.) Bonnie is so selfless for those she loves and deserves the world. My god, she deserves the world. My poor baby. She goes through so much and seems to lose the most on this show when she should deserve the best. We all love her so much and her sacrifice in this finale really showed who she is and that she would do anything for the people she loves. But yay! Jeremy is alive and back! Also, the Damon and Alaric moments in this episode were so beautiful and their friendship is one of the best parts of the show. The Stefan and Lexi moments were beautiful as well and their friendship will always be so touching. Having everyone come back and be with their friends and family was the real gem in this finale. It allowed our favorite characters to be truly happy and it’s rare that we see that with all the death and tragedy that happens in Mystic Falls. Even Katherine, who is painted the villain always, had an interesting turn out this finale. Now she has to live a human life and be more humble than her vampire self which will be interesting for you to see as you react to Season 5. The only people who had something bad happen to them this finale were Stefan and Bonnie. Poor Stefan. Like you said, you can’t not be sorry for the guy. But I’m sure as hell not sorry for Delena happening. It’s sad to see him be heartbroken but it allows him to move on and he needed that this episode. Elena will always love him, but like you said, she’s in love with Damon. And her love for Stefan will only be friendship moving forward. The graduation scene in this finale also was so beauitful. It still makes me tear up to this day. Seeing our babies all graduate after four seasons is like we’re their parents and are so proud of them and how much they’ve grown. Even Kol got to make an appearance this episode (and I love Kol and you’ll soon love him too.) 4x23 gave me as a viewer most of everything I ever wanted in a finale. My ships got to sail, my friendships got to be happy with one another, my characters got to grow, graduate and move forward with their lives, and if it weren’t for what happened to Stefan and Bonnie this episode, I would say 4x23 is a flawless episode. But, it still comes pretty close. Sorry this comment was so long! I just had to post all my thoughts. Can’t wait for you to react to Season 5 and Season 1 of The Originals! I will say, as a warning, Season 5 may have you frustrated for a bit. It certainly had me. But I guess we’ll see! 2018-01-04 19:06:50 +0000 UTCSeason 5 will be an intense journey. it's a crazy ride. You will cry, yell, get angry and frustrated at points but you will also be happy and laugh your ass of at times. Season 5 was definitely different because the producers/show runners had to split their times between The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Some of the writers were sent to The Originals and they're not in High School anymore so you'll notice some differences. So much happens between Damon and Elena, Stefan and Silas, Human Katherine, Bonnie, Caroline and we will dig into the mythology of the Doppelgängers and how they were created. There will be quite a few twists. Damon and Elena will be embarking on this new journey together and all I can promise is that there will be many beautiful, passionate and sweet moments. But there will also be obstacles for them to face but all I have to say about that is don't worry too much because Delena always land on their feet. They can survive anything!!
