Yeah the 2nd movie had came out last least and it's already on DVD. They had announced that it would be a 5 movie series, so there's 3 more they'll have to make.

In the previous Harry Potter films, it is revealed that Grindelwald was a super dark wizard from the 1920s to the 1940s. He was that time period's equivalent of Voldemort. In Deathly Hallows, Harry finds out that Grindelwald stole the Elder Wand from a wandmaker when he was a kid, and that its allegiance to him switched to Dumbledore when Dumbledore defeated him. Voldemort visits Grindelwald in prison, and that's how Voldemort finds out where the Elder Wand was hidden (in Dumbledore's tomb).

I liked this movie a lot and I was worried because I'd heard not great things about it when it came out, so I saw it about a year later. I like all the details of the differences in the wizarding world for a different country and the little hint of school rivalry, which would make complete sense. I still need to watch the 2nd movie, which I also heard not great things about, but I'm definitely curious to see where the characters go from here.

And yes, this film is inspired by a book (fantastic beast and where to find them) but is only inspired, it is not an adaptation, because the book, is a book about fantastic creatures(the one he says he is writing in the film), is a textbook that students use at Hogwarts for classes, and the one that you can buy is the one that belongs to Harry and it has comments and conversations on the edges of Harry, Hermione and Ron. So, if you wanna reed it, it has nothing about the movies and is a really short book :) Others books from HP world that you can find to buy is: "quidditch through the ages" and "the tales of beedle the bard" where you can find the tale of the three brothers(deathly hallows) and other children's stories

I'm a big fan of HP's books and I quite liked the second film, although that revelation in the end that left me a little worried about what they're going to do next, but overall, I think I like the second one more than the First hahaha but maybe this is a little because of my love for Jude Law haha

It's so cool to see someone watching this movie without having any reference to the Grindelwald Story, I remember that I scream when Grindelwald was revealed at the end, I think in the HP movies he is only mentioned the first one on Dumbledore's chocalate frog card(they talk about the great battle with Grindelwald) and in the 7 one when Voldermort is looking for the Elder Wand. But Grindelwald and Dumbledore's past has so much more history! I looking forward to see the next one

I was very worried when this came out, but I actually really enjoyed the movie as a single story within the HP world.
The second movie however, is literally the worst garbage I have ever seen - I was rolling my eyes every other minute throughout the movie, and if it wasn't because a friend had bought the ticket for me for my birthday, I would have honestly walked out of the movie xD
I am however curious to hear YOUR thoughts on the second movie, since you haven't read the HP books - maybe that will make you like it more? idk lol

Thank you so much for such a fun and entertaining reaction to such a good movie. I love Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them!! I especially love Newt and Jacob. Newt is so adorable and incredibly sweet. Eddie Redmayne played this character so brilliantly. He's such an amazing actor and is one of my very favorites. I too love how awkward and shy Newt is, and yet he becomes friends with Jacob throughout the movie despite being more of a loner. I love their friendship.
I also like Jacob a lot too, and he is hilarious. I especially love the scene in the bar when Jacob drinks the giggle water both times and laughs out loud. So funny.
Queenie and Tina are great characters too. I really like them a lot, and I like Grindelwald as a villain, played by both Colin Farrell when he's posing as Mr. Graves, and Johnny Depp too like you thought. He's very creepy. And poor Credence too. It's so sad and I really felt badly for him.
And the beasts from this world are beautiful and I love how there's an entire world full of them within Newt's suitcase, and that Newt is a protector of them. What a fabulous addition to the Harry Potter world and I love that this movie mentions Dumbledore as the one wizard who stood up for Newt and tried to protect him from being expelled from Hogwarts.
Thank you so much again! I look forward to your reaction for the next Fantastic Beasts movie. So, until next time...

The first time that I had to see the Fantastic Beasts I was afraid of what they could have done to the Harry Potter world but in the end they did quite well with the first, the second is my favorite because we get into action and we get to know more about the historical side of what happened before Harry's time, the drama... They're are many storyline to tell and explore. I love the character of Credence because he is not fundamentally bad, he's just a kid who has suffered and he just wanted someone to took care of him.
Well, I loved all the new characters that we were introduced to.
I appreciate how they create Grindelwald compare to Voldemort, because in those two saga they are Dark Lords but they are not the same. Voldmort thrive through terror and hate, he scares people undoubtedly when you see him, the way he's acting but Grindelwald is different, you'll see, he is another kind of leader I might say.
Well, lot of mystery in second movie, look forward to see your reaction.
