To clarify a bit and defend Grace I don't think resetting the director was a mistake. The faction were able to implement some of their own agenda, and the reset 'updated' the Director's security so that the faction couldn't do anything anymore. The faction can't send consciousness, only the Director can do that (and like she said, the Faction cut power to the director so it's offline.) Like Jenny said, the Faction sent everyone they could into the quantum frame and thousands of consciousness are stored in it. They can then use it to send them into people. So they're not being transferred from the future, they are stores inside the quantum frame in the 21st and being transferred from it into bodies. It would make sense that everyone that was taken over in S02E01 is part of the Faction, including Trevor saying so, because after S02E01 I was like 'wow the director basically decided to kill people, so that he could send travelers to them, how is that not wrong?' but it was the Faction that did it. And it's the Faction that killed/took over the people in those meetings/sales pitches. Notice how not ONCE during S2 have we seen a "Recorded time of Death" screen? Because like Jenny said, the Director is Offline. No one is being sent from the future (only messages.) -- This next part is just trying to put it all into a timeline, this is my thoughts after this episode and not a spoiler. You can choose not to read this part as it's just my interpretation of what happened but I think it fits. -- The Faction manages to implement some of their agenda because there are vulnerabilities in the director and/or double agents pretending to be loyal to the director while they implement their own(Faction) agenda. Director gives 014 (Ellis) the mission to build the quantum frame (I think it was the director and not the faction cus he got it from the director in person and the later messages telling them to destroy it) 0027 (Grace) finds proof of the Faction implementing their agenda (our team's capture/torture) and comes to the 21st in order to reset him (making him more secure than ever and protected from the faction, in addition to saving Marcy's life) The Director is in the process of being reset. During this time it not in-use but it's not Offline, so the Faction is still able to use it. Think of the Director as 2 parts. The hardware and the software(Operating System). While it's being reset the OS is unavailible, but the Faction can still use the hardware to send consciousnesses to the 21st. Girl gets taken over by a Faction member and tries to kill Grace. Blonde cop gets a text saying "Kill 3468" (McClaren) Carly gets a text saying "Kill 3468" (May have gotten it before the cop, but doesn't show it until they're in the barn) Trevor gets a text saying "Traveler 0015. Mission abort. Destroy the Quantum Frame." (Jenny says both sides fought for control, perhaps those loyal to the Director had control at this time.) Thousands of consciousnesses are sent to and stored in the Quantum Frame. (Jenny said in their last moment of control, before the director comes back online and gets more secure than ever, they sent everyone they could to the 21st) Ellis (014) gets used to deliver a message. "Traveler 3468. Abort mission. Destroy the Quantum Frame. Immediately." (I think the Director was now fully rebooted, and thus in control again. This is the time Jenny refers to when she says the faction lost all contact with the 21st) The Faction (in the future) cut off power to the Director. Since they no longer have access to the Director's processing power they can not send any more consciousnesses to the 21st. But they are able to send messengers. The Faction members that are in the 21st can also take over people by transferring the consciousness that are stored in the quantum frame into people. FBI agents get a text to gather around the Quantum Frame and get taken over by the Faction (Is the text from the future or the present? Since Forbes and the other guy both thought the other had texted them. Doesn't matter but still) The Faction sends messengers and gives teams missions, one of which is to (unknowingly) create and spread the virus.

2019-04-06 14:05:30 +0000 UTCYou are right. Yet for us there may be a ray, small though it be, of hope. Netflix has sold much of the rights to Hulu to Disney. Netflix at the end of this year could be over 15 billion in debt. They want to sell everything to Disney. If so down the line Travelers may see life elsewhere. My fingers are crossed.

At one time I watched "Timeless" and after one season (most) I became bored when it became silly, predictable and a little childish. Not this show. Believe it or not I thought season three was the best season, and by not just a little bit.
