Something I hate is how quickly Bonnie figured out how to break the spell. It's not realistic unless the spell let up because her heart stopped. Which if that was the case the should have made that clearer. Like come on writers that was just lazy. They spent however many years without Elena because of the spell but when the actress finally comes back the spell's as easier as making a daylight ring. Also, they could have easily left Katherine there after daggering her. Or they could have found aa way to get Elena out and left Mystic Falls to rot lol. I kinda felt bad that Delena shippers(me) got what we wanted at the expense of the other characters. Like Bonnie lost the love of her life, Carolyn lost her love, etc. Juli, thank you so much for these wonderful reactions. I am grateful to be apart of your patreon family and your youtube family. I can't wait for your reactions to Legacies and the rest of The Originals.

There's actually a pretty big plothole in the finale. When Stefan injected Damon with the cure, he couldn't have known that Bonnie would eventually break the spell. So he basically set his brother up to age along with Bonnie and possibly die before Elena wakes up. Not to blame that on Stefan.. the writers just messed up.

What do you mean he didn't kiss her on the lips? Maybe Elena was the one to initiate their reunion kiss but that doesn't discount the fact it was still a very satisfying and epic kiss on the lips. Also about Ian's acting, I think he's always been nothing but professional, all of them have been. The fact that Ian and Nina dated once upon a time and broke up has nothing to do with the way he acted, I've seen too many interviews of the two of them practically pleading with fans to disconnect them from the characters and each other in that way to know. Anyway, just my opinion. Nothing but peace and love x

First of all I love your reactions to the Vampire Diaries, this show is what first introduced me to your channel and I loved every single one of your reactions to them they were very raw and real and honest, so thank you they will be missed. But second I think I and the whole fandom agrees with you about Stefan’s death and how it truly wasn’t needed. However, if you look at the show as a whole I think it makes the most sense of Stefan’s journey and the shows journey. If you really think about it a lot of people think the show started by being centered around Elena and it being her story but if you look back at all the episodes it’s more Stefan’s story and how he can find happiness and peace and being a vampire stopped him from doing that because he hated being a vampire, and for Stefan he always found the most happiness when he was helping other people and being the “hero”. So him sacrificing himself not only gave two people that he cared for deeply, there happiness, but in doing so he also got to die happy and as a human which he always wanted.

It really annoyed me how Ian acted with Damon and Elena’s reunion, I get that they’ve broken up but he could act professional enough to give the fans what they want. He looked more emotional when it was Katherine. He didn’t even kiss her on the lips. But anyway, the amount of tears I shed.. wow. I will say this Juli...This ending needs to grow on you overtime, I really REALLY was unsure about the ending...Over time I actually enjoy it a lot, I don't see any better way to close it, and the last shot is beautiful and exactly the way I pictured it. It was much more of a bittersweet ending there's no place for everyone to get a happy ending and when you think of Stefan and the way he felt, he had his redemption, it's not only about allowing Damon to have his life, it's about finding peace with himself and everything that he did in the past, and he did that...It was closure for his character...Yes it's sad of course it's sad...But there has to be consequences or retributions, like Stefan said we are all responsible for our actions, it isn't fair to give Stefan a happy ever after considering he is the Ripper...He caused the suffering of hundreds and thousands like it was exemplified throughout this season....He managed to redeem himself, for his own sake

This show will always have a special place in my heart. I watched it from start to finish from 12 years old to 20 years old. It had my teen years! And though I'm conflicted about many directions the show decided to take these last few seasons, I still love the characters and their journeys. This finale really hit me with the nostalgia of all the reasons I loved this show in the first place. I've never cried so much in a show, I swear! We had different opinions on ships and directions that this show took, but I loved seeing your reactions and your own way of loving this show. :) Thank you for all your reactions for this show and sharing all of your genuine feelings about it. I loved it! Can't wait for more Originals and eventually Legacies. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but I think I'm actually liking it. Lol. :)

Hi Juli! Well, it's finally here! I have been with you from the beginning and you have no idea how long I've waited to see your reaction to the end. First off, it's been a hell of a ride (as Damon would say). WHAT A ROLLERCOASTER. I told you that you'd need some tissues because that finale is SO EMOTIONAL. Even now it's hard for me to watch because it's so emotionally draining. I remember seeing it live for the first time on TV and afterward, I couldn't stop crying for two hours after the episode aired. Fun fact: before the finale aired on TV they showed an hour-long special (I think it's the Forever Yours) with the cast talking about the journey over the years of TVD and the support from the fans and it was so emotional and I remember crying in my college dorm room watching it before the episode even started. Seeing your reaction brought back so many memories of my initial reaction to the episode. Beautiful, heartbreaking, tragic, emotional, fantastic, epic, incredible etc. So many feelings! The show takes you on such a journey and that's the reason I fell in love with it from the beginning. Not to mention the fan-base is so passionate about the characters and the show and supportive and such a community to one another. I'm so glad you got to experience being a part of it (even after the show ended years ago). It just goes to show how strong this fandom truly is. Your reaction reminds me of how I felt originally after the episode initially aired. However, I'm sure you'll realize this as you come to terms with the ending as time goes on, how beautiful it really is. Of course, there will always be things that I believe could've been better like Bonnie getting her happy ending (because I feel like the writers somewhat robbed her of that in the end and she will always be the character that deserved better in my opinion.) In regards to Stefan's death, I was (and still am) as emotional about it as you were. I couldn't stop crying while watching your reaction to it as I experienced all those feelings when I watched it the first time. It's both tragic, emotional and beautiful. Now that time has passed, I see why the writers made that decision as Stefan's sacrifice for his brother and his death is what allowed the show to come full circle. I remember watching the writers talk about that decision in an interview and Kevin and Julie saying how although the story focused initially on Elena, it was Stefan's story that was being told all along. It started out with him discussing his life in his journals, and his experience in Mystic Falls meeting Elena and the journey of the eight seasons of TVD, and how it all ended with his sacrifice for her and his brother to be happy. In a way, I'm still a bit bitter about his death (as are you which is totally understandable because I was REALLY BITTER when it first happened). But overall, I've made peace with it and think it was a symbolic choice from the writers of his character. Even being a HUGE Delena fan since day one, my heart yearned for Stefan to get his happy ending. I think he somewhat got it with finding peace and being in the afterlife with Lexi and reuniting with his brother, but of course, I think we can all agree it was bittersweet because we imagine the life he could've had if he had stayed alive. However, the ending of the finale with the two brothers is so beautiful that I accept the outcome of Stefan's character. Now on to the good stuff, DELENA DELENA DELENA!! MY NUMBER ONE SHIP!! That reunion was everything! I remember watching it live crying my eyes out in joy but also being a bit disappointed because I wanted more scenes with them and wanted them to talk in the finale. But looking back, I understand it was an uncomfortable situation with both Nina and Ian being broken up and I believe Ian was engaged at this time with Nikki? Or something along those lines so I can only imagine how hard it was for both actors to have to be in love on screen after all the real and personal heartbreak they went through as a couple in real life so I'll take what I can get and I enjoy every second of it now. Their ending scenes were so beautiful and I'm not sure if you noticed, but Elena was wearing a ring with Damon as they walked into the afterlife together (showing they got married!). I was told that there was a proposal scene filmed but never made the final cut so I'm extremely bitter about that because that would've been so epic but hopefully Julie will release it one day to the public because I know it got filmed! Also, there's mention of the two of them in The Originals and Legacies (I won't spoil anything) but you'll be pleased. I'm so glad we got our endgame and got to see the two of them live their lives together. They deserve all the happiness in the world. In regards to Stefan and Caroline, I was sad for the individual characters. I never shipped the two of them romantically as a couple as I'm a Klaroline shipper ALL THE WAY. (my second favorite ship aside from Delena in all eternity) but it was sad to see them be in pain for one another and see your reaction to their tragic end. I can't say I'm sorry that their marriage only lasted a day and their relationship essentially ended (sorry Juli I know you love them) but I am sorry that it had to play out in that way. They both deserve all the happiness in the world so it was definitely bittersweet. However, Caroline is such a strong woman and I believe a person can love more than one person in their lifetime so I'll just leave you with that. It was so great to see so many past familiar faces brought back in the episode like Katherine, Jeremy, Lexi, Elena's parents, Aunt Jenna, John, Grams, even Matt's family and it really showed how much thought and detail went into this finale from the writers so I'm so thankful for that. I wish Jeremy had more screen time though. My biggest issue was that Vicki got more time on screen than him, but oh well. That's just how it played out I guess. I agree with your opinion that the brothers could've just knocked Katherine out and let her die alone instead of Stefan having to die, but I guess that's just how the writers wanted it to end so there's nothing we can do about it now. Overall, what a finale. What a show. I'm so thankful you got to react to it (for the most part spoiler- free) and didn't let anyone change the way you felt about the characters and relationships and how you reacted to the episodes because the beauty of watching your reactions is the simple fact that they're YOUR REACTIONS. YOUR opinion, thoughts, feelings, etc. Everyone will have their own take on the show, but it's amazing to see and relate to your thoughts and experiences while enjoying the ride along the way. I'm SO excited to see your reaction to finishing up The Originals and starting on Legacies. Personally, Legacies hasn't grown on me yet, but hopefully, it will soon. Thank you again Juli. I think this last scene is my favorite scene from the entire series, I love that the scene was just the two brothers and I love that they found peace in each other. When I watched this episode for the first time I was a mess and very angry about Enzo and Stefan, but in fact, every time I rewatch this episode I start to appreciate it more and more, because if you stop to think about it, the 3 (Damon, Stefan and Elena) died in this episode, but Damon and Elena died a few years later (after marrying and having children) and I think someone had to make a sacrifice at the end, and I think Stefan was the right choice because he needed to do it for himself and I do not see in Stefan character how he would live if Damon died, I liked that it was mentioned that Damon was never the same after Stefan's death and Ian did a great job in that because we do not see Damon giving a real smile after Stefan's death in this episode, I think Damon has a better chance to have a life without Stefan than Stefan moving on without Damon. Stefan had so much guilty and I like to think that with this final sacrifice he finally found peace. But I still think that Enzo's death was pointless and he deserved at least a few years of happiness for all the years he was tortured :(

I had so much fun watching it with you again. And you were right about the ending, basically after Elena and Damon live their lives they find peace with their loved ones. I also feel like Stefan could’ve lived for sure, and even though I love delena I hated that they were basically the only ones to get a happy ending I mean. I don’t know if they could have, but had that departure not been a part of it, the long game would’ve been to see if we could bring the love triangle back around before the series ended and really leave a choice. But her departure sealed the romantic contract between Damon and Elena. In that moment, to me, the show ceased to be about a love triangle and became a show about the power of these brothers and their love for each other. And so there was no way in hell I was killing both of them and leaving neither of them with the happy ending. the end was the future of the idea of peace, that when they die eventually that they will find peace and reunite with the loss of their loved ones. they are still alive, that's just where they would end up 60 years from now. In the sequel legacies, delena is alive and mention with kids and happy together

When I saw the notification for your reaction, I was like "I'm tired and seing again the season finale gonna make me cry for sure, it's past midnight" so I was ready to see it tomorrow but I couldn't resist, I had to see it and now I need more tissue at first and to stop crying. To be trustful, when I saw this finale I knew I would never handle the season finale for the Originals so I never watch it and I really need to do it but I can't accept anymore deaths so I wait until I'm ready, I hope I will be when Juli watch it. However, the most emotional episode of my life, I mean Stefan always annoyed me with his righteousness and all but at the end of the day, he's like a pain in ass brother but I love him, I'm so sad that they killed him, he had finally Caroline to be happy with and bam, back to square one, can't even get a break. Damon needed his brother too, and I'm glad in the end Elena mention that Stefan was the one who brought her back to life when her parents died because even if I'm a Delena fan, I love to remember Stefan as her first true love and Damon the love of her life. I'm glad they all find peace in the end and after these years, I'm at peace too with this ending. Looking forward to see your reaction on the Originals and Legacies who will be a show you will absolutely love.

Juli mentioned in an article right after the finale that she thinks Dr (!) Elena has a family clinic, and she and damon have kids! <3 And since Elena talked about their long and happy lives together we know Delena is canon until their deaths. And at least Bonnie and Enzo could be together in the afterlife, and maybe stefan caroline. The scene with the brothers at the end im gonna cry
