SPOILER ALERT: Season 5 of TO has another 7 year time jump making it 9 years after the end of TVD. Which adds up because the twins were 4 at the end of TVD and are 13 in Season 5 of TO.

Yes, The Vampire Diaries had a 3 year time jump, so season 7 of The Vampire Diaries was ahead of season 3 of The Originals. With a 5 year time jump here, they are caught up to The Vampire Diaries. Everything on The Vampire Diaries has happened already. Also, the girl that plays Hope this season is Daniel Gillies, Elijah's, niece in real life. :)

I loved the reaction as I always do. And to try to explain the link between tvd and to timeline, remember when Caroline visited New Orleans asking for Klaus and getting told the Mikaelsons haven't been seen for a while, well that was 3 years into the 5 year time jump the originals had. Hope that explains it and can't wait for 402s reaction!

Seeing him again, even beaten down and surrounded by enemies he always win, no matter if it's physical or psychological, the victory is his. He was right at the end, and no matter how hard Marcel try to hide it I don't think he will be able to kill him, maybe Elijah or Kol but he will never kill Klaus, he is like a father to him, he lived more than a century raise and loved by this man. I love that this season Hayley doesn't go against the Mikealson and recognize that there are her family as much as her daughter's. I don't think Vincent went to see Klaus to make him feel bad or threaten him but rather to try to understand, like he said, why Camille saw the good in him. Ultimately, I don't think he hate the Mikealson that much, he just want peace and he knows that wasn't possible last time with all the sire lines in war and all the enemies coming and destroying the city every time. I glad Juli get to see Hope, well, like she was asking there is a time jump but there are the same as TVD did so they get along on the time line. This season is linked with the 7th one when they were a time jump with the Raina affair etc and this happen at the start of season 8. So 5 years later... Here we are. Like your enthusiasm, share it and love it 😉 can't wait for the second episode.
