It was in my opinion a very underwhelming finale that left me feeling pretty sad and numb about a show I have otherwise loved very much.

2019-05-20 12:59:24 +0000 UTCI personally liked the character development. I always saw Dany's character going this way. I loved where they took Sansa and Arya characters. I had a hunch that Jon was gonna kill Dany but I didn't really think about what would happen to him after. It makes sense for him to get punished, but he always belonged beyond the wall anyways (he look quite pleased in the end). Bran was a surprise though but not a bad one :) soo yeah, I don't get the hole "bad writing" thing. My only issue with this season is that everything felt rushed...but honestly, the moment we found out that there were only gonna be 6 episode I knew that this would happen. With 10 episodes they could have done a much better job...this is why when the books come out, everything will make a lot more sense but still have the same end result. Loved your reaction Juli :D I'm really gonna miss this show...what I'm not gonna miss however is the GoT fandom lol....some people are so ungrateful and have no respect for the writers or the show. Everyone is allowed to not be happy with how it turned out...but bashing the writers, signing petitions to have them remake this season. Imagine being that ungrateful... like the last 8 years meant nothing.

Considering they threw out any sort of character development out of the window in favor of shock value, having Jon kill Dany the way he did was extremely predictable. Then Drogon conveniently burns the throne and not Jon and takes off. I called Bran getting picked, it still doesn't make any sense though. The people voting for Bran to become king haven't even met him and while he knows things, he has DONE very little to gain the support of others. The only thing I truly enjoyed about the end was Sansa standing her ground on the independence of the North and becoming their Queen. It's what she deserves. All in all, very rushed, many plot holes, many unanswered questions... Not a big fan *shrugs* Looooove your reaction though, esp the Sansa love <3

I watched this finale and all I could think was none of this felt earned. Half the episode is Tyrion fucking walking and fixing chairs and the rest was just ridiculous to me. They murder Lannisters but then decided to keep Tyrion prison so he can make a speech. Then Jon kills there queen they have been following for years and they just sail off. Really? Then bran of all people gets picked. Fucking bran. Come on
