2019-05-23 19:10:36 +0000 UTCI realized while watching this reaction with you (and thinking back on it in general) that this show does a really good job of subverting expectations, or setting up situations which makes you think a certain thing but it actually is not what you think. The coyote buried and the dead animals in the shed were good examples in this. Everyone would assume, seeing the dead animals, that Alex was a burgeoning serial killer

2019-05-23 06:31:43 +0000 UTCMacLaren can't take the approach of offering to the diner owner for Alexander to help out or anything because this was to be his last meal. That's probably, in part, why Mac got even more upset with the diner owner. Also, Alex doesn't have a parent, anymore, to teach him the correct way. That was part of the point in that he didn't have correct guidance and support which is why he would've turned out terrible.
