2019-06-16 18:39:24 +0000 UTCI know you don't like when lgbt movies have sad endings, and I agree that we need more positive ones, but the sad ones still happen. Especially in the past. Movies often reflect how society is so as the years go on and more people are accepting of lgbt people representation gets more positive (i.e. lgbt characters exist in tv shows, more positive movies like Love, Simon). I enjoy emotional stuff, which sometimes (often?) means sad stuff. And like you said things like this still happen, or people still relate / feel the same way Ennis or Jack does (in some regards) so even 'bad/sad' things you can relate to can be nice to have. Because we can relate, because people can see how homophobia can effect lives. In the past way too many movies ended in a bad/sad way though and we are definitely getting better and more positive representation.
