Phil and Melinda did get together in the end, but not until both had left SHIELD. Coulson never made a move on her (nor she on him) while they were still working, except near the end when he knew he was dying. I think partly out of fear, but partly because they both felt they could focus on doing their jobs better if they didn't. Mack is SO focused on being the director and trying to live up to Coulson's legacy, that he's really trying to compartmentalize and focus on the job. That talk he gave to Keller was him saying that he would have to separate them if he thought they'd compromise each other, according to SHIELD's rules, which it sounds like he did to himself and Yo-Yo. It sounds like he may not have fully explained that to her also. He's not comfortable enough being the director yet to even think about a person relationship, it seems.

Fitz designed the machine through years of working on it where he found out a way to trigger the shard of the monolith they found with a machine, but they said that they never finished it. Deke's dad did, working off of old designs.

We originally thought the monoliths were Kree, but last season showed us that the Kree didn't create them 'cause they knew nothing about the time monolith. So, it seems like they're hinting at this "monster" that Sarge has been chasing created the Shrike may have also created the monoliths. Maybe they were created with these base universe properties in order to be used to conquer the universe? Not enough to go on yet since it was only just hinted at the connection between the Shrike and the monoliths. I just thought, since the space monolith was linked to Maveth, I wonder if that was the original planet of the "monster?" I'm very curious about that planet and the civilization that was there before. I don't know, maybe I'm grasping. And it definitely wasn't Hive 'cause he was trapped on that planet by people using the monolith on him. If he was "the creator/monster," he could've just created a new one to get off world. Also, it seems it can come and go as it pleases since it'll come if the Shrike are destroyed, according to Sarge.
I doubt there's any connection to the Infinity Stones. That's movie stuff and they wouldn't have them on the TV show.
Also, Sarge's statement about burning it all down did make me pause and go, "Uh, when you say 'all,' could you be more specific as to what you mean by that?"

Just a theory, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Snowflake is way more involved with the formation of Sarge and his Team than previously realized... She comes off as someone who knows way more than what's she's been letting on, and appears to be hiding something... She could even quite possibly be a major Boss-level villain, if not the surprise Big Bad of this Season itself... I guess time will reveal...

But there seems to be a connection between Sarge and Coulson, more than just their appearance. I don't think it's a coincidence that they use the same expressions ("Everyone's dream is someone else's nightmare", for example). I don't know that the connection is but I'm eager to find out. Also, Snowflake was *totally* flirting with May.

Yo-yo recognized that the Crystallize structure are the same in the monolith as in the spikes. They have scans of inside the monolith at Shield
Also we as viewers know that fitz designed the machine but he didn’t know he did it.
I think you are going to love/hate next episode lol
