He's an unassuming bad guy here and on "Travelers" but before all that, he was Veronica Mars' dad. He was on a few Canadian shows, including "Flashpoint" about a team of S.W.A.T. I also really liked "The Count of Monte Cristo" movie. I thought it was pretty badass. How did I miss your movie reaction of this? Been a long time since I've seen it and would like to see it again. With some distance from it, I can't tell what the author was saying about revenge. Nowadays it's definitely a no-no & considered morally corrupt, but I remember completely understanding Edmund's (??) POV and thought he was completely justified. As you can see from the mention here, Elias lives his whole life for revenge also and obviously relates to the character, but we view him as the "bad guy."

I love that no one until the end of this episode knew who Elias really was or even what he looked like. And the huge plot twist that Charlie turned out to be Elias? Wow! I didn't see that coming at all the first time I watched this episode and I loved it. Also... I love, love, love that you got excited at The Count of Monte Cristo reference to Jim Caviezel's previous work. It's great that you got to watch the movie before you saw this episode and I especially love seeing John smile slightly when the student mentions that Edmond is a survivor, just like Reese is too. Brilliant!! What a great storyline and I love all of the excitement and the twist in the end. Finch, Fusco, and Carter were great like always, but this was an even greater episode for Reese. So good! Thank you again! Until next time...
