I think Toph did use positive reinforcement by the end. She definitely wasn't gentle about it, but I think it was still considered positive reinforcement. Early in the episode she was calling Aang names and insulting him when he didn't do something right, which would probably work with her and many other people, but I don't think it was the best tactic to use with someone like Aang. By the end though, she was being positive and praising him, she was just really forceful about it lol. People learn in different ways and I think that's okay. And Toph didn't have to be like Katara to teach Aang, but she did learn to change her techniques a bit so Aang would learn the best. :) Iroh's lesson with Zuko is one of my favorite scenes in the show. He's so inspirational. Zuko's really lucky to have him. Thank you for the reaction Juli!

Hi Juli... You actually get to see a demonstration of Iroh redirecting lightning back in 2x01, when he saved Zuko from Azula's attempted strike, and he redirected the lightning into the cliff...

Iroh's lesson about the four elements and about pride as, not the opposite, but the source of all shame was incredible! I could listen to him talk about things so day long.

Probably my favorite Iroh line in the whole series (and he has some great ones), "No, she's crazy and she needs to go down." xD
