Really? Wow! That's so cool!

One other trivia note for you my dear: the guy who played Grima Wormtongue, who poisoned the mind of King Théoden..... he was the scapegoat Clairvoyant (Thomas Nash) from Season 1 of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. The guy in the wheelchair that Ward shot. :)

Regarding the length and how slow the first half is, the theatrical edition was much tighter. The extended edition adds mostly non-action scenes, lots of dialogue and lore-building.

Now that I've finished watching, a few more notes: * Treebeard (the main Ent) was voiced by the actor for Gimli * In regards to the reveal of Gandalf in the forest, they deliberately wanted to make you think it was Saruman to the point that they combined the voices of both actors for the lines before we found out it was Gandalf * The Lord of the Rings trilogy had a much higher budget than Game of Thrones. As for the quality (in addition to the light levels you noted), they used miniatures instead of CGI for the big establishing shots of the castles and cities. For what you mentioned at the beginning of the video about there being 4 DVDs, that was the extended edition. Two discs were the actual movie (the same version you watched), and the other two were a very in-depth documentary about the making of it.

Thank you so much for another fantastic movie reaction, and for the second movie in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy... The Two Towers!!! I really love this movie so much, especially the extended version. And yes... I agree with you that the first movie was slightly stronger than this movie was, but I love The Two Towers nonetheless. I especially love Legolas' and Gimli's growing friendship, and their characters. And I love their characters as well. As for the new characters... I really like Faramir, Boromir's brother. and Eomer, the Captain of King Theoden's army and his nephew. I love, love, love Sam's speech in the end to Frodo about how they keep fighting because there's still good int he world worth fighting for, and that in overhearing this speech, it changed Faramir's mind about keeping Frodo and Sam captive, allowing him to set them free despite the consequences that will come from doing so. And lastly... I agree with you that Gollem is an amazing character and that his duel personalities as the part of him who is Gollem (his twisted and dark side) and the part of him who is still Smeagol (his old self) argue with one another. These are brilliant scenes we all owe to the actor who plays Gollem... Andy Serkis. Not only does Andy do Gollem's voice, but all of his character's facial expressions are also all done by Andy Serkis as well. He's a brilliant actor, who you might know from Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther, as Ulysses Klaue. Thank you so much! I can't wait for your reaction for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King!!! It's my favorite of the trilogy, so until then...

The scene after Echo stabbed Octavia in the 100 s4 was based on the scene with Aragorn in this movie :) Fun fact, the scream, when Aragorn kicked the helmet, was real. The actor broke his foot when he kicked it. Also, don't worry, Frodo and Sam are one of the og ships XD

Idun V

In the scene where Aragorn thought Merry and Pippin were dead, the actor legitimately broke his toe from kicking the helmet, so the scream was real, not acting.

Adam Nelson

Yes! This was the movie(out of the 3 ) that I thought was better in the extended version.
