On subsequent viewings, you can see it that he says little things or gets a little quieter when the moon is in the same shot and there is talk of love or romantic things.

2019-07-16 05:52:54 +0000 UTCAang and Katara's relationship, I think, grows naturally. If you don't feel a "ship" between them, that's okay. It's not really shown as more than he liking her and she liking him as a friend and respecting him as the Avatar. I think all the relationships on the show move pretty naturally and aren't just instant love. Ones, so far, that had instant attraction, usually didn't end up well, like Katara with Jet and Sokka with Yuwei. Zuko, at this point, is not looking to be a hero. He has always been focused on regaining his honor. In Book 1, he thought that was by capturing the Avatar. This season, with the entrance of Azula into the fight, he's trying to grasp what "regaining his honor" actually means, it seems. He's been on a self-reflective journey. He thought being on his own, away from Iroh, was the best way, but that didn't go well, so he's trying a new way.

2019-07-16 05:39:02 +0000 UTCSokka didn't kiss Suki then 'cause it was under the moon, which is Yuwei, and he feels a bit guilty about moving on. It's not just a tease or being dramatic. I think he feels she's watching him. He had less of a problem kissing Suki during the daytime at the end.
