She's just now, in the finale, getting an idea of what his motivations are and that he's not just pure evil. Heh, I was totally with Sokka on this at this time, "Good on the INSIDE isn't enough. Talk to me when it's on the OUTSIDE." xD Juli, you reminded me of Iroh, in your disappointment with Zuko's decisions. Aang did open the last chakra, so he did manage to let Katara go, but Azula attacked him from behind while in the Avatar state, when all the past and future Avatars are vulnerable. I just noticed that when she electrocuted him, you could see the burn on the bottom of his foot, like when people get struck by lightning, it exits through the feet. Nice little detail.

2019-07-22 21:32:21 +0000 UTCYou are not misreading the feelings of both Aang and Katara. He does like her more than she likes him, or in a different way. She does look at him more in a protective way than a romantic way at this point. This is one reason why I like this show in that it shows this sort of uneven emotional relationship 'cause this happens a LOT in real life where one falls for another before the other does (or sometimes never does). Like I've said many times before, I'm not a shipper so I don't push people together mentally and rather look at the relationship they show and say, "Okay, I guess they like who they like. I get that."

2019-07-20 23:38:08 +0000 UTCIt's interesting that I didn't find it that ambiguous when I watched it the first time that Jet was mortally wounded and was going to die, but a lot of reactors (and others, it seems) found it uncertain. The fact that Toph confirmed that he was lying to them about him going to be okay made me go, "Oh, okay." It wasn't until the writers confirmed that he'd died, after the series when I said, "What, there was a doubt?" Maybe 'cause I'm a bit older and they used to do stuff like that all the time on TV, implying that some was about to die without actually showing it.
