2019-08-10 11:04:26 +0000 UTCIn English, the word "island" is pronouced with the "s" as silent. So, it's pronounced "Ai-land." It's interesting how you interpret all the old masters' advice to Aang as them telling him to kill the Fire Lord. They can all be interpreted that way, but none of them specifically said that's what he needed to do. They were just telling him about the lessons they learned in their lives and was hoping he could learn from their wisdom in some way. They definitely were saying that you can't take anything off the table, but they didn't say that he has to kill the Fire Lord. I like how Kyoshi was all hardcore and she was like, "Oh, I woulda killed the dude if he hadn't of killed himself." xD

To answer your question about whether we find out about Zukoโs mother, there are comics that were released between Atla and Legend of Korra that go through what happens after the war. The comics are really good and they were written by the same writers from the show.

One of my favorite things about Avatar is the lore and mythology of the world, so learning about the first firebenders was such a cool experience. Seeing Aang and Zuko bond and interact under this new agreement was so awesome. They were really destined to work together. It's also really cool to think about how technically Aang is Zuko's great grandfather.

2019-08-06 18:01:25 +0000 UTCIn 3x16 I think they purposely were vague about Katara's mother being "gone" to put doubt in the viewers' minds whether she was actually dead or not, so it's not weird for you to think that. Either that, or they tried not to throw DEATH around since it's a kids show and all that. Either way, fantastic episode and reaction! It's one of my favourites. I love that it explores both Katara's grief and anger about her mother's death, as well as her complicated relationship with Zuko, (I lowkey also ship them, you're not alone lol)

2019-08-06 17:36:08 +0000 UTC3x12~ Zuko is my favorite character of the series so I'm glad that you like him as well. I thought that the scenes where he was practicing what to say was so precious. I understand why the gang, mainly Katara, had an issue with trusting him, but I was upset with how brutal Katara was toward him. Obviously, you see later that they start to get a little closer. Also, in case you were confused, after Sokka hit Combustion Man in his third eye it short circuited his powers, so when he tried to blow up the gang that last time his head blew up.

A children's cartoon on Nickelodeon tackles topics like genocide, refugees, and abusive families and pulls it off. They even stuck the landing. Just an amazing show.

It looks kinda like Miles Morales' Spider-Man and was wondering if you'd seen "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse?" If not, I'd love to see a reaction to that. It's a great Spider-Man movie. I've heard quite a few Spider-Man fans that have said it's their favorite Spider-Man movie.

2019-08-06 14:27:45 +0000 UTC3x12: I think the reason you and everyone loves Zuko so much is that he is such a complex character. He's had one of the best redemption arcs I've ever seen on tv. We're all sluts for well written character development and this show really knows how to do it right, from believable backstories as motivation, to the struggles of Zuko finding his way back to the side of good. It's kinda ironic that his rock bottom and turning point was him accomplishing his goal in terms of finding the avatar and being accepted back by his father with his honour, yet it's what it took for him to finally realise it wasn't actually what he wanted. He had everything yet he wasn't happy, and the tragedy of him realising that after already having fucked up and betrayed Iroh is just top notch story telling. Gotta love that angst.

Zuko joining the group and having a little adventure with almost everyone; it always makes me smile! But I love the moment, or well, the small and short confrontation between Mei, Azula and Tai Lee.
