Added 2019-08-09 01:52:17 +0000 UTCHey guys, sorry for not been around to talk to you about what’s happening to my aunt, I have slept for around 6 hours in the past 2 days due to my situation.
My 92 y/o aunt had an accident inside of her house last Sunday. She felt and couldn’t get up. The problem was that she lives on her own on the first floor of the building I live. She is single, never had a husband or kids and me and my mom are the only family she got.
So, on Tuesday night I was worried bc when I knocked on her door no one was answering, I thought she might had died inside of her home. With the help of police we were able to get into her house and found her laying down on the floor.
She has 3 broken ribs and her hip is also broken. She’s also having issues with her mind due to her age.
To top all of it, she use to have money because she inherited 2 houses and sold them so she can live a better live. Turns out a friend of her has stolen all her money and the house she lives in.
We are working with the police to see if we can get her money or her house back but it’s going to take some time to work that out.
Right now my aunt is at the hospital and they just discharged her because according to the doctor her broken ribs will heal in 3 weeks and the pain would go away in 6 months.
My aunt is all by herself and we are trying to find a lawyer so they can help us out in this situation, hopefully we’ll have a more clear picture on how to handle this issue tomorrow.
I want you guys to know that I know I am failing you. I know I should post more. And by telling you this I’m not trying to find excuses to not post, I’m just trying to be honest about my situation and to let you know why I am not posting.

I’m really sorry for this, I feel terrible for not posting and I hope you guys can understand. Right now it looks like I will even have to move in with my aunt to take care of her as well. I don’t even know how I’m going to be able to take care of her plus Josh and my mom.
Anyways, thank you for reading this. Thank you for your support and I hope you guys don’t hate me for the lack of videos. I will post more I promise!

But please try not to worry about us, we support you regardless and those who do not understand that real life emergencies come before reactions can frankly fuck off. As you can see from the comments on this post, the vast majority of people here understand and sympathise with your situation! It really just sucks that everything seems to be falling on you to take care of, and that you can't seem to catch a break. I hope everything works out and that you get some justice for your aunt. You don't owe us "more" just because right now you go to a tremendous difficult time with your real life and family, so you can't post a lot. Everyone who doesn't understand that sometimes life sucks and has an awful kind a humour can leave if it pleases them. Please take care of your things, your aunt and Josh, the sweet boy. AND above all take care of yourself too. Everything else can wait. 2019-08-09 02:56:51 +0000 UTCPlease don't feel bad, Juli, life happens and unavoidable things come up. I'm sure you would rather sit back and do what you love, than have to stress about your family. I watched my parents take care of my paternal grandparents before they went into a nursing home and it was not easy. I know you have a big heart and want to help but if there was one piece of advice I would give it would be: Make sure you know exactly what you're getting into and how much work will be involved. I know you might not have many options but definitely explore everything before rushing into to something that might overwhelm you. I'll stop with anymore unsolicited advice and sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong but just know that it comes from a place of caring and concern. It makes me so mad when I hear about people that take advantage of the elderly. People who do things like that are disgusting.

You are obviously a very big part of taking care of your family and a lot falls on you. Of course we'll miss your reactions if you miss them but a family emergency is more important than anything and I'm confident that 99.9% of us understand that. If anyone expects more than that, they're mistaken on what people are obliged to do. Thank you for letting us know and I'm really sorry that happened to your aunt, especially the thieving because accidents happen, but the thieving is intentional and highly selfish.
