Hi! Loving your reactions to this show! :) I'm not sure if someone answered your question at the end of the last episode already, but I can't see it here so I hope I'm not repeating an answer you already had!! What you said is basically right, it was socially acceptable for two women to live together in friendship and companionship if they were unmarried, or widows. They'd each have their own bedroom (in this case for show haha) but that was seen as acceptable! Also, when a new law against homosexuality was passed in the UK, they wanted to put it as men and women, but when they took it to Queen Victoria to approve the law and make it official she couldn't understand the suggestion that women could be gay, she thought it could only be men who would do that! So she had them take any mention of women out. So technically after that it wasn't illegal for women to be gay like it was for men, even though it still was not socially acceptable! (This show is set a little before her reign, so it doesn't apply here, but I thought it was an interesting fact!) Can't wait to watch more of your reactions to this! And about to watch your Merlin reactions too! :)
