I think you went into this movie already bias. You hear negative things about it thus you didn't expect much to begin with. Charlie is the best character, Also the reason everyone knows who she is-is because its a small town so that means everyone grew up together and knows each other.....and when someone new moves there they're going to notice

Bella is basically sired to him. He explained how vampires are very desirable to humans so she cannot resist him, kind of like a sire bond

2020-10-01 06:50:25 +0000 UTCI'm not gonna lie, once upon a time I truly loved this saga (the books). Now a days I really only turn to it for the nostalgia associated with it. I've rewatched the first movie several times for this very reason, but could never really do the same with he others. Throughout the books I remember Eclipse being my favourite, but now looking back I cant really remember why. Twilight was a product of the 2000's through and though and it had that grace of Y/A teeny romance factored into it. I still hold parts of this series near and dear to my heart, it was my introduction to the supernatural. My appreciation for Vampires and Werewolves stemmed from Stephanie Meyers version of them, no matter how convoluted they were in the books, it was the way I got hooked into it.

I'm SO many years past being a teenager (and not a girl nor am I into teenage romance) but I do remember liking it. Not the romance stuff, so I ignored it, but it was a different take on the supernatural creatures and I was hoping there was gonna be more interesting stuff explored about that in subsequent movies ("if they make them" HA) and that they'd tone down the overblown teenage love story. Unfortunately, no. Quite the opposite. I watched up until the 4th movie where they just got less & less interesting with each installment 'til after the 4th one I just said "Nope. I'm done. I don't even care how it ends," & usually I'll watch things to the end. I just got more and more annoyed watching it & rolling my eyes. My co-worker at my last job said he watched the last one and I asked, "...And?" He said, "I wish I hadn't."🤣 He also liked the first one & was hoping for an interesting story. I watched TVD from the beginning and would get so mad at people that wrote it off as a Twilight knockoff and never watched. I kept saying, "Oh please. It is SO much more interesting and better written than Twilight, not to mention different premise." Just 'cause you have teens & vampires doesn't make it all the same. 🧐 😁

It introduced me to paranormal romance and vampires and it wasn't like anything I had ever seen before. Now that I'm older I see it's faults, but I still love it for nostalgia reasons. And there fun to make fun of lol, so I had so much fun watching your reaction. Your confusion and comments throughout this movie were hilarious. I loved it! Thanks Juli. :)

2019-08-20 00:54:38 +0000 UTCOh, and Charlie does care for Bella a lot, he's just horrible at expressing it. The car and the purple bed sheets are examples of him trying. I feel like his desperation in the end when she is about to leave solidifies that he does indeed want her there and to be a good dad, he's just not sure how to do that.

2019-08-19 23:52:40 +0000 UTCI'm one of the people who really enjoyed the books back in the days, and I honestly still love the movies. Yes, they are objectively bad. Yes, they are cheesy and overdramatic. But I think they have a certain kind of charm to them that just makes them so god damn enjoyable to watch. You just gotta take them for what they are and appreciate the comedy of it all, which I'm glad you did. They're bad, but they're fun to watch and that's why I've probably seen all the movies like 20 times. Bad cinema never gets old lol. Also the soundtrack fucking slaps.
