This is late but just so you know amazon prime is planning to create a series based on this. It starts filming in December :) And this time they're going to include lesbians lol

I remember watching it in the movie theatre. :) By the way, I really preferred this kind of depiction of women's strength, power, and independence compared to the modern-day angry/snarky depictions. One of the reasons I love MAOS so much is because the women are powerful and bad-ass and in many ways simply superior in the way that women are without making a big issue out of it.

I love Tom Hanks in this movie, as well as Geena Davis, Rosie O'Donnell, and Madonna too. I really didn't like Kit's character much because she was too winey and she was a brat especially towards her sister, Dottie. But I loved seeing them come together in the end as both young women and as old women too. As for your question about whether any of this story is real... the characters are all fictional, except for Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks). But they did create a women's baseball league during the World War when their husbands and the men were off fighting in the war, in order to keep baseball alive. And I think it's amazing. It's unfair how most people didn't believe the women could play, but they most certainly proved them wrong. :) Thank you again! Until your next movie reactions...
