This is the first time I've seen the new version of IT, I saw the 1990 version when I was 14-15. Personally I found the 90s version of Pennywise scarier, I think it's because he looks more like a normal clown in that version, it becomes creepier (In my opinion) when the monster looks "normal"

I am still trying to figure out if Hulu works internationally because I want to support my favorite shows there as well like Runaways and a couple of others I want to try I will look for that show as well. If you recall, Charlie said they kissed in the school play way back when and he was saying the critics said, "You can't fake that kind of passion" or something like that. xD But also, Beverly said when they were cleaning her bathroom that she's only kissed one boy before...and it was a nice kiss. Cute. This movie entails the events of the 1st half of the book. That's why it said "Chapter 1." Chapter 2 will be the second half. I THINK they explain IT/Pennywise a little more in the second half, when they're adults. I know they explained IT in the book, but I can't remember if they did it when they were young or adults. I don't know if they'll go into all of it 'cause it's...complicated and odd, but they can simplify it 'cause they already did cut out a big weird portion of the explanation, understandably. I'm sure they will try to give a more concrete explanation in the 2nd chapter though, whenever they film/release that.

2018-09-02 03:17:08 +0000 UTCOOH! I just thought of a good movie for Juli to react to, "A Quiet Place." I really liked that movie. I had anxiety through that whole movie. I found myself holding my breath a lot. :-) Any gore is not lingered on, so that's good, IMO.

It grabbed me from the get-go and I don't read much (although I wish I had a love of reading like many others). I'd only read a handful of novels on the whole. Before IT, I'd only read his short stories 'cause I tended to fall asleep around 10 pages in of any novel (even if I was interested) and it was definitely the longest novel I'd read at that point (maybe to this day). It was his longest, at the time, then "The Stand" was re-released and extended and that became the longest one again. You are correct though in that Pennywise isn't really a clown, it's kinda its go-to persona 'cause of the kid relation (back in the day before kids were RIGHTFULLY afraid of clowns xD) and he/it goes after kids 'cause kids believe anything is possible and believe in monsters while adults are harder to convince. It's why adults don't see him or stuff he does (like the balloons, etc.) 'cause their minds don't accept that absurdity. It does go after adults, it's just kids take less convincing.

I haven’t read the book, it’s like a thousand pages and I couldn’t get through it but as far as I know pennywise has been around for ages and he is a shapeshifter who obviously feeds on fear, I think he goes after kids mostly bc kids are easily scared and manipulated. They are making a second movie and I’m super excited to see it, and hopefully you will come react as well! I think if you put all the horror and gore aside the dynamic between the kids is amazing overall it’s a story about these kids coming together and facing their fears. The actors in the movie were fucking phenomenol I can’t get over it, especially the guy who played pennywise. What an amazing cast! Thanks again for watching this ! I really enjoyed this reaction!

2018-09-01 15:41:40 +0000 UTCBill Skarsgård who was Pennywise in IT is also in Stephen King's new TV show on Hulu called "Castle Rock".... they've currently aired 8 of the season's 10 episodes. Its pretty good, especially if you are a stephen king fan because they have a whole ton of hidden easter egg references to other works by King.
