As you said Lucas has his friends at the park, Haley, Keith, his mom, Whitey, all while Nathan is trapped with the influence of Dan. And the way it showed Nathan blocking out his Dad’s voice and the expression on his face that displayed his misery and sadness. I just love his story arc.

He just got so much pressure from Dan that he can't enjoy it right now.
