If you want a short 5-minute overview of the 200 year history of The Expanse universe before season 1 started, this is a good overview. A majority of it is based on the novels. I would love to see you continue to react to this series. It's a real niche show for reactors so I'm happy you're watching even this much. The first season is great but it only gets better and better after that. You are absolutely correct about how immersive the show is. It really makes you feel like you are there with the characters sometimes. Can't wait to see more.

They are very good at planting things that are used later. The belters also almost all have neck tattoos... they are based on scars the old helmets used to leave on their necks. Their language is also a mix of languages, and expressions people normally do with their hands, are done with arms (or giving the finger, is now done with two fingers), because thats easier to do in space suits :)

So you have the 3 groups, The UN which is Earth and Luna Martians The Belters which live pretty much anywhere else out beyond Mars, the main location in the show so far is Ceres Station... but there will be more locations as they are scattered around the outer solar system Some belters (not all, probably not most) are members of the OPA, a belter freedom fighter group considered terrorists by Earth and Mars Earth and Mars is in a long cold war, and both abuse the belters to get whatever they want. So nothing ever turns out well for the belters, but if the Belt somehow partnered with Mars, which is what Chrisjen thinks is happening, then it potentially changes the power dynamics in the cold war Chrisjen (the woman on earth) has an amazing wardrobe btw, it never disappoints By the "Holy Grail", she was referring to transporting stealth tech they found he was carrying in the first episode
