I dont think Lip wants the easy way out, it´s the exact opposite: He could have it so easy. He´s so smart that he doesn't even have to try his future is secured. And he has Mandy but yet he refuses to live like that. He pushes everything good out of his life and keeps going back to Karen. He knows she´s a terrible person, he knows she screws up his whole life and yet he can't stay away from her. Everything he does is self destructive and people like Mandy are colleteral damage which is just fucked up. I think the reason Lip arguably hates Frank the most is because he´s so similar him. He´s growing into becoming Frank and he hates that about himself and Frank. He would never admit that tho.

From Fiona's inability to be a little selfish with herself, to Lip's closed minded that he is only good for scamming ppl and deserving Karen's "love" I understand him perfectly and I do think his character is one of the most complex characters on the show, and maybe bc of that it's that I get so mad at him. It's not like when I get mad at Jimmy/Steve honestly if he goes away I would be happy, but not with Lip bc I want to see him improve. But my question during the reaction is when do we make accountable for his actions? Right now he is Young and immature and sometimes I treat him like an adult when he is not. But he has to see his mistakes and be better and it just pisses me off that he doesn't see it. But at the same time I understand why he doesn't. Thank you for watching and for your comment as well 😘

And NO Lip is not like Karen bc he does care about his family but his personal relationships suck bc he does to Mandy what Karen does to him. And yeah sadly Karen is Lip's Monica, and it's sad Lip doesn't see it. Thank you for your lovely comment! 😘

2018-09-27 07:04:33 +0000 UTCI'll defend Lip a bit, I honestly understand your frustration with Lip, but I think you need to remember that he is a damaged person from his screwed up upbringing. He can be a dick but he isn't a mentally healthy person. I honestly think Lip is the most mentally Ill Gallagher and he shows his pain through anger and his "I don't give a fuck" attitude. That being said he is horrible to Mandy. I agree with Alice about him being a victim of Karen's manipulation. When I see Lip I see a person in tremendous pain who has given up on people and himself despite his High IQ he doesn't see a point in life. That's just my take on him. He's one of my favorite characters, not because I agree with his actions but because of his complexity and I find it fascinating that he is so unaware of how the abuse and neglect they have all received is affecting him. As always I love the reaction.

2018-09-27 05:55:37 +0000 UTCHey juli,love the reaction.Karen is such an horrible human being,everything that comes from her is just so fake,like she claims that she loves Sheila but honestly she doesn't care about any of her feelings,she just likes the way that she can manipulates and be treated by her mother,she made Sheila seem like an bad person just because she is selfish enough to not understand that her mother loves Hymie too,she is honestly a sociopath that brings people down for her own benefit and she doesn't even feel bad for that.And I am not trying to defend Lip,but I don't think that he is nearly as bad as Karen,he is really stupid for sure,but overall he is just another victim of Karen's manipulation,but yes,he really is a dick to Mandy and many times treats her the way that Karen treats him,when Mandy is only trying to make him improve and be the best version of himself,while Karen(just like Monica and Frank) wants him to keep being the worst version of himself.I got too excited hahahaha,sorry for the giant text,and I apologize for the mistakes(since English is not my first language haha),hope you have an amazing week <3
