I used to be Peyton. I was the “complicated girl” that pushed people away because I was terrified of commitment and then I wanted them back because I was even more terrified of being lonely. I was in love with my best friend’s boyfriend, and it was HORRIBLE. I wanted her to be happy but at the same time I couldn’t just stop loving him and the whole situation drove me crazy. I didn’t dare to tell my bestie about it, because I was afraid that she would also leave me. It sounds stupid now, but at the time it felt very much real and it tore me apart. I SHOULD have been open about it, but I’m telling you that it’s not easy. So I can understand Peyton. It’s not right, what she’s doing, but she’s not TRYING to be complicated. For me, it turns out that I have a personality disorder due to childhood trauma. I think Peyton’s issue is probably also related to the fact that she’s experienced a big loss with her mother’s death and her father also not being there for her. She’s used to people leaving, so that’s what she expects. Peyton’s a character that can definitely be hard to like at times, also for me. But I understand her.

I love that she proves them all wrong, also I can’t wait for when you see the development between Brooke and Hayley, IMO the best friendship on the show. Also I ship Jake and Peyton so so much. They have a TVD as one tree hill intro you should check it out

As of right now we know that he uses Nathan to relive his own dreams and doesn't care about what that does to his son. He just doesn't see it.

2018-10-06 06:11:14 +0000 UTCBrooke is definitely not a mind reader. Brooke trusts Peyton to be honest with her but given PLENTY of chances, Peyton stays quiet about her feelings regarding Lucas. I'd like to think it's because she doesn't want Brooke to have to choose between her best friend and a guy that makes her really happy but I don't think that's the case. I think Peyton is scared and she has every right to be but she also doesn't get to blame Brooke for not noticing it. Even then, Brooke noticed that something was wrong and Peyton simply told her it was because she felt like a third wheel. I feel bad that Peyton is so closed off but she can't blame other people for her own (repeated) actions.

Its really unfair. And it really bothers me how everyone looks down upon Brooke and Lucas´relationship because they think Brooke is easy and not good for him, they're so prejudiced against her and constantly slutshame her in a way when she's been nothing but a supportive friend and great girlfriend
