Did you not look at the comments at how the idea of caroline carrying Alaric and jo's babies was becuause the writers had to take the actress' real life pregnancy into account at the time and killing the babies along with jo ended up being too dark for the show? The writers had to work with work circumstances they had and the only other solution they couldv'e come up with could've been to write caroline off the show for almost the whole season which would've messed up the whole plot of the season . The covens couldn't put the babies in another woman at the end because a) they were dying fast, b) bonnie was somewhere else, and c) the only other woman was put into a coma where the babies wouldve been preserved as long as elena wouldve been until bonnie died. You're just making too much of a big deal over this because you're not seeing the bigger picture and its just disappointing
2018-10-15 22:35:42 +0000 UTCThe point is nina left the show so caroline moved up to a more of a lead in the show and then she got pregnant in real life they had to write her pregnancy in. Klaus had a kid he's a vampire. That was breaking the rule. Caroline is not passing on her genetics she didn't consummate kids. Shes a magical surrogate. Besides her being a mother in the show adds depth and you will see brings alot to the future for all the spin offs
