Been a while since i've seen the guy playing the grandfather, he was the XO in Battlestar Galactica.... ...and I thought he was old then.... that was 15 years ago lol

2018-12-31 04:05:43 +0000 UTCI think how they viewed "bastards" is also showing how archaic some of their beliefs and traditions are. I feel they're doing a lot of parallels (sort of flipside) of the Catholic faith in this show.

2018-12-29 03:20:21 +0000 UTCI think Susie is trying to figure out who she is. I'm not sure if the show is trying to say specifically that she's trans, at least not yet. I think they're purposefully keeping it ambiguous 'cause the character is figuring out how she is and be okay with it. I also didn't think they were saying that how she is is hereditary. I think it's just showing different ways of being that is helping Susie to get different perspectives and come to be more comfortable with who SHE is. That different people, even in her family, lived differently and that's okay and in her ancestor's case, could be heroic.
