I knew your reaction to Matt being in this episode was going to be hilarious. I don't like Matt so it doesn't bother me too much when he's there because I just don't care. Your dislike of Matt is so funny to me.

2019-01-10 11:05:44 +0000 UTCokay, they do not wake up rebekah because she's still with the curse, and with the threat situation it's best not to bring her into this mess, where they can not even control her anger. The timeline is as follows (WITHOUT SPOILERS): until episode 15, TVD and TO were on the same timeline (only with some flashforward on TVD). In episode 15 of TVD there was the timejump for the future making what was previously flashforward, now is present and putting the timeline of 3 years ago (the same as TO is now) as flashback. So as in TO there was no Timejump of 3 years, TO is now on time line within those 3 years that were skipped on TVD, that is why Matt was the only one who was in Mystic Falls this episode, because if you remember, in episode 15 of TVD, Damon enters the coffin (where he passes the next years), Stefan left to run away with Valarie and Caroline and Alaric are living in another state. In this episode 3x17, Matt just reopened Mystic Falls, as you can tell by the "Opening Soon" signs in the stores in this episode. So, basically TO is in the timeline that passes during those 3 years and TVD is 3 years in the future. So, that is why in the last episode of TVD that you watched, episode 7x17, Alaric says that Caroline went away to hide with the twin girls, that would be that scene that we saw of Caroline in New Orleans looking for Kluas and that woman tell her that nobody saw Klaus in 3 years or so. At the point where you are in TO, you still do not know what happened to the originals having disappeared 3 years ago, you have to watch the rest of the season to know hahaha
