I remember listening to the actors' commentary on the pilot and they talked about the slo-mo fights and how fun they are 'cause it's done with a high-speed camera that spins up loudly when going into high speed and the actors playing Richard and Kaylin said the sound got their adrenaline going so they actually would go all out when they'd hear it spin up.
