Theo's monologue gets me every time as someone with depression.

Like on a level it makes no sense that you can touch someone and feel what they're feeling but the pain she was feeling was so goddamn real and even if it doesn't make sense the acting makes it 1000x more realistic. The long scenes don't even feel long because you're so encapsulated by every word they say, every little detail. Honestly, this type of writing/acting makes me so happy.

2019-01-29 21:11:05 +0000 UTCTheo's monologue was one of the most accurate depiction of depression I've ever seen performed. It just...it was so raw and hit all the right notes for a good depression metaphor. Kate Siegel delivered it fucking perfectly--she's just so, so talented. Definitely deserves that Emmy!

2019-01-29 13:30:53 +0000 UTCTheo felt true horror and was stuck that way for a full day where every second must have been terrifying. I try to imagine what it would be like to suddenly be infected with something that hollows you out like that. I mean I've felt that level of apathy and total lack of motivation due to mental illnesses I have suffered for much of my life, but what Theo felt (or didn't feel) was probably much worse. Looking back at her behavior in episode 6, it all makes sense. Theo was almost like a totally different person that night. And when that nothingness was filled with soul and feeling again, it was a rush and a shock to the system.
