ron knows she liked him, on the last movie she went off on him for not inviting her to the dance and she even cried to him about it

The reason they put them together is because they got together in the books. For the films to get made, they had to agree with Rowling that they were based on her books, they couldn't massively deviate. She was in the middle of writing a 7-book series and so it was important that they didn't put stuff in (or take stuff out) that was against the direction she was going in. Plenty of things in the films that aren't quite the same in the books, but the core storyline and characters are there. I love the books and the films - I definitely wasn't disappointed, as a book fan. However, it's unlikely that Rowling would have told people about this relationship - she tended to operate very much on a need-to-know policy - that they only should learn future plots they absolutely had to know. Same with the actors - I know that there was one actor/actress that was told something very significant that nobody else knew, early on, but that was critical for their performance. Chances are that early on she told the film-makers that Ginny would play a significant role in the future, but she may not have told them much more than that. But that'll be why she's there from Day 1 - she's at the station with the other Weasleys, seeing her brothers (and Harry) off. I'm glad she didn't tell them (if indeed she didn't, I'm only assuming, so I could be wrong!) because that could easily have been leaked if too many people knew about it. Unfortunately, the downside is that you're right, it does seem to come out of nowhere in the films.

I agree the Ginny and Harry dynamic in this movie came out of nowhere. I felt like they had nobody else for him but they have always showed Ginny having a crush on him. So they decided lets put these two together. I don't like them together because I don't see the chemistry. I liked the possibility of Hermione and Harry better.

Bria Bey

I did REALLY love this book. And I also really like Lupin and Tonks.

Thadman

Deathly Hallows Part 1 is a road trip drama, while Part 2 is action action action. I really enjoy Part 1 and the slower pace to me really creates that sense of dread. The good guys are losing big time and things are looking hopeless.

Jarrod Wild

Juli, which of the teachers is your favourite? Mine is McGonagall, she's great in the movies, but in the books she is SO amazing.

Iben Frederiksen

For the first time in the series I felt sympathy for Draco. He's the product of his upbringing, but he still has his conscience.

Jarrod Wild

A lot of Tom Riddle's backstory and the mystery of the "Half-blood Prince" is not explored in this film. Snape just sort of reveals who he is at the end. It wouldn't have taken much time to work some of it in without making the film too long. I still like this one, but I would have loved it more if it had included a bit more of the book.

Jarrod Wild

This is actually my least favorite movie because I was very excited to see Voldermort's story explained, but they show practically nothing of what is explained in the book, about when Tom was young, memories about his mother and father, of how he went to the orphanage, if you want to know more about his story, I really recommend you to read the book. Also, the scene with Remus and Tonks was so short, Lupin is one of my favorite characters and he has much more story in the books than they put in the movies :( just like Dobby who appears practically in all the books but in the movies, they always take it out. Also about R.A.B: Yeah, it was mentioned in the movies, but probably nobody guessed it just watching the movies, it's mentioned very briefly.

Carine Allen

The actor who makes professor slughorn is the same as the one who did Archmaester Ebrose in the seventh season of GOT. Yes, another HP actor in GOT and still counting hahahaha

Carine Allen

Nora from Vampire diaries is actually in this movie she plays Draco’s GF and she was seating in front of him in the train.

This movie has become one of my favourites, but it took me a couple of viewings to really appreciate it. You're right. Every scene counts and means something. There is so much going on. I love the scene with Harry and Hermione with the bird charms, and the whole bit where Harry has taken the Felix Felicis is GOLD. Also, shoutout for the soundtrack. I love it.

Cry, I dont think I can handle just getting part 1 next week - it almost seems a cruel joke. Wheres the double reaction donation tier???!!! Haha, anyway I loved your reactions to this, finally we're getting to some intense discussions now we're really in the thick of the story. Ready to cry with you even more for the ending! Interesting btw that you commented on Harry/Ginny chemistry and interactions. That was many peoples complaint, the relationship was all very sudden in the movie (but in the books there is more interactions between them leading up to it). Just unfortunate it was all cut out from the movie, leading to something that didnt make much sense or have much context unless you'd read more about it in the books. Also I appreciate the earlier upload this week :D managed to finish the video by 2am, when normally thats the upload time here in the UK.

I am super impressed with how well you understand everything from this being your first time watching the movies. I had to read the books to understand some of the things you have already pieced together! Now, the next movie is always the toughest one for me to get through. It sure is a masterpiece, but the pacing is slower than in the others, and it can sometimes feel like a drag. It's purposely done like that to feel the tension building up to the finale. I've come to love it more and more and I hope you will too! Can't wait πŸ₯°

Kamilla Mari

If she does the last two in one week it will be better to do the first part at the start of the week and the second part a the end so she can "digest" correctly the first part and wait a little for the final, so it will be more exiting for her.

Keep checking the end of the movie for the next one, there is a last scene who will be important for HP 7 part 2. Well, always felt like this one was a break between the dark fifth movie and the intense seventh part 1 who has a lot of action. I loved that we can see a little bit more about young Tom Riddle who by the way was creepy as hell but make us understand a lot more about the character in itself. Ron was funny as always and Hermione truthful with her feelings, kind of nice. I miss Harry Potter so much, even with the Fantastic Beast, it's not the same. /!\ SPOILER One thing I love about the writing of the Fantastic Beast is Grindelwald. Voldmort was the dark lord who ruled by fear and terror, evil is how he had supporters. Grindelwald gain people by charm, he is more manipulative, a liar and he cheate. More a conquest by personality. That's what I love about those two dark lord, they're dark but different.

Can't wait for you to react to the last 2 Harry Potter movies, especially the final movie, and then afterward the 2 Fantastic Beasts movies as well. Do you know if you'll do 1 or 2 movie reactions a week, regarding the next 2 HP movies? Like, do we get both reactions next week? Also, I agree that Draco isn't evil. He is misunderstood by some ppl, even though he only did what he did because he was forced into doing these things, that he didn't want to be a part of. Wonderful reaction as always, cant wait for more! :))

Freya

I would say wait for the blu ray because 1 it's better quality and 2 you don't want to risk getting into legal trouble for reacting to a movie that isn't out to the public yet.

Rubi Moon

Great reaction. This is probably the one movie that I prefer over the book version though still misses some scenes. However, it does have the one scene that was changed from the book that I say was for the better which is Slughorn and the Lily flower scene.

KMR

Definitely agree that Draco’s not evil. A bully as a kid? Sure. But he was definitely forced into being a death eater.
