I hope you guys like the reaction. The final reaction will be posted this Saturday!! And I cannot wait to watch the final movie!

Have you read hunger games or twilight? Both their last books also had so much stuff going on that it would be too much to put into just one 2 hour movie. Maybe some other franchises did it because Harry Potter, but I’d doubt twilight and hunger games did. Too much action going on in them

2020-05-14 18:05:51 +0000 UTCi'm watching this 6 months late lol but i wanted to point out that all the movie/book franchises that split their final one into two movies did it because harry potter did it and was so successful. imo no one else should have (the hunger games, twilight) bc it was unnecessary for them. deathly hallows had so much in it that it NEEDED the two parts. the other franchises were just money grabs. also about shipping...i see a lot of comments saying people only ship harry/hermione bc of the movies and no one ships them for the books. take it from someone who read the books as they came out-- people ship them bc of the books too. they were the first ship i ever shipped i didn't even know what shipping was when i loved them together in the books. even jkr herself finally admitted (after calling their shippers delusional while she was writing) that she felt they could have gone that way in the final book too.

2019-03-20 17:35:09 +0000 UTCAlso, something I love about JK Rowling's writing... The dementors are creatures that live by feeding off your misery. They literally cause you to relive your worst memories, making you feel alone and empty in order to eat. Muggles can't see dementors and when they are near, assume they are majorly depressed. The patronus charm is performed by focusing on the happiest memory you have. It is literally a shield and protector, formed of your happiest moments. This is Rowling's way, metaphorically, of saying that you can chase away the sadness and emptiness and find happiness in life if you hold on really hard to the good moments in your life. You can weather the hardest times by recognizing and appreciating what you do have, rather than dwelling on what you've lost. I just think this is brilliant.

I think it helped that their characters were separated from all the others so they had the chance to shine on their own.

2019-03-19 21:54:47 +0000 UTCI don’t normally like to post too much stuff from the books, because I figure you can read them yourself if you want more. But in this one you asked, “Why is Harry saying You-Know-Who instead of his name?” This is one thing I feel they left out of the movie. Voldemort put a curse on his name so that if anyone said it, the Death Eaters would know immediately and would go straight there. (I think to catch Harry, i can’t remember??) So that’s why everyone says You-Know-Who. And it’s why when Xenophilius Lovegood says “Voldemort” it’s such a big deal and the Death Eaters appear instantly. He effectively summoned them to try and save Luna. Love the movie. Like Jarrod said, there’s such a great sense of dread in this one. I always feel so so sad when Hermione takes away her parents memories to protect them. And then Ron and Harry get her to cast Obliviate again even though neither of them know the pain it causes her....

But if I'd only watched the movies, I would probably ship them as well because of the chemistry between the actors 😊 There are A LOT of crazy ships in HP. Sirius and Remus. Sirius and James. Harry and Draco. Hermione and Draco. Ginny and Hermione (which I know you'd totally be up for right? 😍) So don't let anyone stop you😉

I think this movie is emotional and mysterious, with all the pieces putting together for the final. I love that we see a bit about Grindelwald. Dobby's death always makes me cry, he's kind of innocent and so loyal, at the end, all he wanted was to have friend and he did have them. One of my favorite scene is when they run chase into the wood, it was intense and well filmed. I'm so waiting for the last part, it's the end of all and we see the last pieces of the puzzle. I'm so glad that you'll be watching the fantastic beasts, the second one is much better as for me, we see a lot more. However, always love your reactions and it was a good surprise!
