I love Sam and Jamie's friendship. I love Julian and he grows on you but it did feel like they were bringing him in as a villian trying to steal Peyton from her fiance. Owen pulling a season 1 Brooke Davis was great. Peyton definitely should have just told Lucas she had a history with Julian.

I personally loove complex morally ambiguous characters like this but sometimes tv shows do it wrong by leaning too hard and fast into the redemption. What Dan did was horrible. And the show acknowledges that. Dan even acknowledges that! Dan just accepts his place in Lucas's life as the villain. There was no justification that Dan could give him that would be enough. The genius part of Dan's character is that the show doesn't change him to a "better man" to redeem him. He can still be as mean and egotistical as before. But we see glimpses of light in his love for his son and grandson.

2020-09-02 13:04:23 +0000 UTCI think that Brooke cut it off with Owen because although he wants to stick around now it's not like he's gone through a personality change. I don't think he wants kids all of a sudden. I think he was now willing to put up with it for Brooke. I know he wouldn't have to be a dad or anything but having a kid in your life is still a huge responsibility. Sam is a huge part of Brooke's life now and Brooke has to consider her. I don't think that Brooke has time for someone she is unsure of and isn't in it for kids. That's my interpretation lol

Lucas was still in the middle of their relationship. I felt so bad for Julian. Peyton is in a serious relationship with Julian yet she is carrying around a copy of her ex's book. Anyway, I love Julian. He is very charming.

I mean I can see some traits coming from HS of course but she has grown a lot !! I like her as an adult way better, she has taken so much in maturity.

2020-09-02 12:11:12 +0000 UTCI think Peyton not telling him is just something she did not want because it’s an awkward thing to talk about and she doesn’t want Lucas to be blocked bc of it and knowing Lucas’ selfish behavior.... it’s understandable. Liked your opinion about Dan, I feel the same about him. I really like his character, how he brings a lot to the show! Paul is a terrific actor. It’s funny you think a lot about the Leyton drama but Julian is going to take a direction in OTH you won’t see coming. cant wait to see what you think. I also can’t to wait to see your next reactions (hoping there is more this week) because I really really like Peyton’s plot in the second half part of this season. Looking forward !!!!

I’m happy you like Julian! He’s one of my favorites! I loved the scene of Jamie running to Nathan after he was hit into the glass- you could see the fear on Jamie and Haley’s face. I liked Owen and Brooke together, but I don’t think they’d ever be a forever love, so I’m glad she chose to focus on fostering Sam instead of jumping back in with him. Also. Sam’s relationship with Jamie is so cute! I think he needed someone like her after Q died❤️ Oh, and Mouth is annoying me too! Don’t let Gigi flirt with you like this!!

2020-09-02 04:12:35 +0000 UTCi think dan has a soul and ironically it lives through his family but more so nathan, jamie, and haley. i think dan has some good in him, i don’t think he’s all evil but it’s a perception thing like you said, lucas never got to see the good in dan, and then on top of that dan took away the one person that filled in dan’s fatherless hole in lucas’s life so i think it’s all about perception on whether or not dan has a soul

Lucas annoyed me in the end cuz like you said he was in love with Lindsey, its just like when he got all upset when Brooke was doing her thing in s2 while he was all about Peyton in the second half of season 1. Lucas always feels like he does no wrong, it's always the other side of things for him and whoever he is with, whatever past they have involving someone makes him all mad

Just seeing the fear of haley fearing that Nathan would be back in the wheelchair and acting the way he did and having no hope in himself, you can see it in her eyes (Bethanys acting expression I love and is amazing as always)
