Also, Brooke is sooo not selfish. I never noticed this before but Brooke intentionally did not tell Sam that Victoria purposely destroyed Sam's letters. She said "they accidently got mixed up with junk mail". So, even though Brooke doesn't like Victoria and Sam's relationship, Brooke knows that it means something to Sam so, she won't be the one who hurts that relationship. Also, I can not imagine how much it hurts Brooke to let Sam go and meet her birth mom. But she always thinks about what is best for Sam. Brooke really knows how to be a good mother. I think she learned what not to do from Victoria.

Victoria really did a number on Brooke's childhood and made her feel unwanted. And Victoria's line earlier where she says "would you rather have a mother who leaves or a mother who stuck around and was bad at it?". That definitely raises a lot of questions.

2020-10-23 21:02:00 +0000 UTCAbout Brooke and this particular situation, the way I see it is that she felt some kind of betrayal about the fact that Victoria would take Sam shopping when she never did that with Brooke. As if Brooke wasn't worthy of going shopping with Victoria when that's a very common thing mothers do with their daughters. And let me just add, once again, what an incredible actress Sophia is. Whatever scene she's doing, you can always feel all the emotions she's putting into her character.
