I think it's perfectly understandable if Annie can never get past what the deep did to her, and if she can't/won't work alongside him.^ But at the same time I don't think people should discredit his attempt to be a better person/make things right. If he truly regrets his actions and seeks to improve, that should not be discouraged - although that doesn't mean that annie has to get over it or forgive him. Like on fosters, if [person] hurt someone because of their alcohol/drug abuse, I understand if those people never want to forgive the abuser. BUT, if the abuser truly regrets it and is taking steps to become sober etc, that should not be discouraged.
