jeff is a groomer. he groomed leah regardless of whether she lied, he still was talking to an underage girl. i feel really bad for leah because she is so messed up over a guy who could care less about her

So excited you're watching this, it's one of my favorite shows of 2020! My opinion on the Leah situation is even though she did lie about her age he was still a grown man willing to have a relationship with a teenager, 18 is still so young and even though it's "legal" at that age you're still really young and a child in my eyes. So that author guy was still very creepy

When I first watched the show I understood the story and noticed all lot of things, but watching some parts again and even hearing other people’s thoughts made me realize how much deeper and planned out the story is. I like that because it’s almost like once you peel back one layer of the story another one emerges to keep the mystery.

My thoughts on Leah and Jeff: in my opinion, it doesn’t matter that he thought she was 18, it still felt really gross to me. I know they’re ambiguous about his age in the show but when I read the script they specify that he’s 40, and he’s going after a girl he knows is still in high school. He also never asked what her age was, when he texted her that he thought about kissing her he didn’t know her age. He only panicked when he thought someone else knew. Not that I’m excusing Leah for lying about her age, but he was an adult that she admired and he definitely took advantage of that admiration.
