Honestly think mouth just meant that a lot of people catfish online and so because there was no photo it could definitely be a guy instead of a girl I don’t think he meant to be homophobic that was just how I understood it

transphobia in 90s and 2000s show is so common it’s insane to me. i was recently watching an episode of the nanny and they made a transphobic comment i was shocked

Just when you think Brooke/Sophia can't get anymore stunning, she goes ahead and does this.

I absolutely love the scene where Haley sees Nathan by the car, runs into his arms and they kiss. One of my favorite Naley moments-along with the table scene. I just love them, and your reaction to them are just wonderful :D

oml the naley scene recreating 16 candles... my heart. I cried when i saw them recreate it. If you haven't watched 16 candles please have it has a suggestion just so you can see why they made nathan and haley respresent that movie in their costumes and so you can see the birthday scene. now imma watch your reaction lol

Love this episode! Brooke's dress for the dance was gorgeous. Her whole outfit. Honestly when I think she can't be more stunning. The Nathan and Clay parts of this episode are so funny and I'm glad he finally told Nathan about Sara. Jamie is so cute when he realizes it's Haley's birthday.

this episode is so cute!
minus the kylie stuff.. the transphobia and sexism is so gross.
naley are soulmates!! can’t help but feel the chemistry and passion between them in literally all of their scenes!
as ruby mentioned, there’s so many references in this episodes as it’s dedicated to john hughes; btw i’d love for you to react to the breakfast club!

This episode was dedicated to John Hughes hence the homage to the 80s where he made many of his most famous movies like the Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Home Alone, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, etc. Many of the scenes in this episode are in reference to his films as well as other classic 80s to 90s movies like Babe (the That'll do Pig line from Clay) referenced that movie). If you haven't seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I do recommend reacting to it.
And yes, he died August of 2009 and the episode was made and aired in February of 2010. So pretty close to after his death day.

I have a love/hate relationship from this episode. I love the 80s dance part and Nathan desperately trying to get home.
But the causual transphobia is not it! Making Kylie show off her body to prove she's not a "man" aka trans woman is not okay and is gross to watch. As a trans person this episode skeeves me out
