I thought it was next season for some reason, and I've been dreading it, because it wrecked me the first time through. I've seen this sort of story happen in many other shows, but something about this one really hit me hard. Maybe it's just the quality of the writing and acting on OTH. The past few episodes really made me remember why I loved Haley, after my issues with her early on this season, but this storyline sent her up to my number 2 spot for favorite characters.

This storyline really helped me through some difficult times, and made me feel not so alone when it comes to grief :) That's why its my favourite even if it's really sad :) :/

2021-01-21 09:02:12 +0000 UTCbethany joy lenz's acting during the storyline of her mother is something ill never forget and i cry every time and the way it's written just shows that you gotta appreicate the good times and not let fights or arguments or hatred take you away from time that can be used to make good memories because you never know what can happen to you or that person. Def one of the saddest storylines and one of the reasons i enjoyed this season and made me love haley more because we got to see more than just tutor girl or the mother side of her. That wall she builds up when it comes to everyone else because haley likes being the one to help vs being helped

2021-01-21 07:22:47 +0000 UTCI think Haley's dad during the time jump...it was definitely off-screen. Ad yes, that's the same actress that played Haley's mom in season two. This storyline with Haley and her mother dying makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. No matter how many times I watch the scenes, I just CRY. I especially love how incredible Bethany Joy Lenz's acting is. She's so, so good. I think if it were a lesser actor, this storyline wouldn't hit me as hard as it does.
