I was prepared for the episode not to feel like a real premiere since they had to still air the episodes that were left from season 2, but yeah it was still a bit disappointing. Also the Landon waking Hope up with a kiss made me roll my eyes so hard. Hope is my favorite character, and I do like Landon I do, I just hope they don't keep them together for the entire series. I want to see Hope's character developed even more and idk if she can do that with Landon. Either way I'm interested to see where the season will go!

Whether you are on a relationship or not, you still need consent, it doesn't matter if you are even married, you ALWAYS need consent.

I agree with what you said about hope and landons kiss. I think Landon sees it different because that’s his girlfriend and he is like you said a romantic person, who we have to admit is also very innocent. He didn’t see it as oh she’s sleeping let me take advantage, to him he saw her as sleeping beauty, and he was probably trying to do anything to wake her. Hope was not mad about it so why should we

I agree that the episode was not that good. But I believe that Josie and hopes kiss would be non consensual cause they are not a couple, hope and Landon are dating, it’s a little different. I thought he was kissing her to try and see if that would do something, which it did. I would love hosie together more than anything. But that doesn’t mean I should take that out on hope and landon’s relationship 😭 idk that’s how I see it.

This episode was on the slow side, but that’s only because the episode were filmed pre-covid. Legacies had no choice to air 2x16-2x20 because the CW wouldn’t let them unfortunately. We just have to watch these filler episodes for season 3 but this only means that in a few episodes we will get an epic dramatic episode that was supposed to be the season 2 finale and I’m really excited about that!

Guess I'm the only one who liked this episode lol. This isn't supposed to feel like a season premier. The first 4 episodes are the last 4 episodes of the season 2 arch. So people complaining it didn't feel like a season premiere that's because it isn't. And since I seem to be in the minority as a Handon fan here. I think the kiss has to do with the characters not the writers. Hope said a non consensual kiss isn't the way to go in the last episode because that's what she believes. Landon is a romantic soul, he would be the guy who tries the "true loves kiss" kiss. And honestly I think Hope would have woken up just sensing he was there, no kiss necessary. I do like the idea people are floating around that the dark magic has effected Hope somehow. But we'll have to see moving forward.

Randomly thought I'd do a character ranking since we did one for OTH the other day:
1. MG (for sure, he is so underrated and is so kind to everyone, deserves more storylines)
2. Lizzie (My queen/child, I adore her and her humour but sometimes she can take things too far, like what Juli said in this episode)
3. Hope (For obvious reasons, I just need her to break up with Landon so she can be more fleshed out because I'm bored of this Hope living for Landon nonsense)
4. Josie (I want her to start stickingg up for herself more this season to the point where she doesn't need any back up)
5. Kaleb (Hilarious, confident, smart, I just wnat him to get more storylines)
6. Rafael (NEEDS MORE STORYLINES, I'm bored of him being just Hope's Love interest and landon's brother)
7. Maya (IDK there was something about her I just loved, may have been the lesbian vibes but IDK)
8. Jade
9. Ethan
10. Alaric (He's a tryer, I'll give him that)

Also can we discuss Ethan being added to this seasons poster but Maya wasn't?? What's up with that I expect to be seeing them plenty this season, am I the only one who doesn't care for Jed's character.

That makes me more mad because they would've filmed that whole "non consensual kiss" thing just a few days or a week prior. So that whole scene was still fresh in their minds and yet they still managed to do the same thing the next episode. SO stupid

The only way this episode is remotely interesting to me is if my completely far fetched idea that Landon and Raf somehow switched bodies is correct hahaha. Id be cool with Malivore if Hope was at her full potential and it was still a challenge. Although Hope is a badass, when you think about her potential when becoming a full tribrid, how easy it would be for her to beat Malivore...idk it fells forced.

To be fair this was filmed pre Covid

Definitely agree Alaric has been useless. And someone else should probably run the school.

Yeeah I think the fact that they pointed the ‘ non consensual kiss thing ‘ out in the finale made it way worse. Like I actually like Handon but that was a bad choice and just straight up tone deaf. I’m just glad she’s out of the coma tbh .

Honestly same, the whole episode just felt like a major drag and was extremely disappointing. And this was meant to be 2x17 so it would have aired after 2x16 but they felt 2x16 felt like a better “season finale” then 2x17 which is why they didn’t air 2x17 despite it being already filmed.
I’m hoping once we get out of the “season 2” episodes and get to the actual new storylines it will be better hopefully.

They had the episode filmed already pre pandemic so they really couldn’t change it up, they only were able to add a few new scenes/reshoots because they also no longer had the actress who played Alyssa

I was most pissed that in the episode right before this, they make it a point to state that hope wasn’t gonna kiss Josie because “a nonconsensual kiss is never the answer” but Landon wakes Hope up with a nonconsensual kiss (which, the lamest and most anticlimactic way for hope to wake up) and it’s supposed to be fine?? So consent doesn’t matter when it’s a het ship okay got it

Girl, same. Like y'all had so much extra time to work on storylines and that's what y'all came up with?? Also, Hope wouldn't wake up until Landon came back to life? What kind of co-dependent
