I think the reason why Sophie is always taking everything on alone is bc she has been raised that way. Always be the best so they can't dismiss you, always be the smartest in every room. That's why she didn't come out during don't ask don't tell remember? She was taught to put her career first. But now she is incredibly isolated bc the crows are not what Sophie (and we as the audience for that matter) believes to be justice. So when she tried to change the system from the inside, she just became more and more isolated and now she has no support in the crows at all - I mean Julia is gone, Jacob is on drugs and there is nobody else in her corner. So this would be the perfect time to join the bat team imho .. she agrees with Ryan on justice, she fully trusts Luke and Mary and she believes in the message that batwoman is sending. she could maybe be a mole inside the crows, but secretly work with the bat team .. I think it would fit her journey and be super badass as well :)
