Exactly. Like, if I had to choose one, I'd choose Alex and Chase as I just see more chemistry and enjoy their relationship more (though he and Mia were cute at first...) but I'm really not a fan of love triangles. But yeah, if there is a love triangle and two people like the same person, it's that persons choice as to who they end up with. Whether they're male or female, like you said, Delena and Stelena, it was Elena's choice because both Damon and Stefan liked her, they both could've decided they didn't wanna be with her if they wanted, but they didn't and she chose Damon. Just like what is happening with Chase and the girls. They both like him, now it's just up to him whether he wants to be with either, and if so, which one. Also like with Lucas, Brooke and Peyton, they both liked him, he liked them both too, he just had to decide which of them he was more in love with, and in the end that was Peyton. It's not like the girls have no say in their own relationships. If it was a "Whoever I choose has to be with me and gets no say in the matter" situation, then yeah, I'd agree that it's wrong, because everyone has the right to decide if they wanna be with someone or not, but that's not the situation. Whichever one he chooses will have just as much of a say in the whole thing as him. Besides, even if it was up to the girls, they wouldn't be able to make a choice because they'd just end up fighting (as we see in this episode) and never make their choice...

I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't like this storyline either (I hate love triangles and I'm not really invested in either couples here), but hearing Juli say "I know it was in the late 2000" as if it was the most misogynistic thing ever was a bit surprising. It's just a typical love triangle. And like you said, they both like him, so it is his choice as to who he wants to be with. It was the same in TVD with Delena and Stelena, for example, it was Elena's choice, not Damon's or Stefan's.

He's the one who's going to be with whichever one he chose (though he chose neither). The girls can't decide who gets to be with him, it's his choice who he wants to be with. They can't just go up to him and say "We've made a choice. You're gonna be with Mia/Alex." It has to be whichever one he likes most. Of course, they could both say no if they wanted, but they both clearly wanna be with him. That's their choice, whether they wanna be with him. And which of them he wants to be with is his choice... So I really don't get the whole thing about how it shouldn't be his choice and it should be the girls' choice, because they've ALREADY MADE THEIR CHOICE.

2021-04-21 07:37:55 +0000 UTCThis is such a fun light hearted episode. I love these times when you just get to see the characters mostly happy. Also I totally agree about Mia. I forgot how petty and childish she was in this season. She seems to be the one to always start things with Alex, and then Mia keeps pushing Alex until Alex retaliates, which I don’t blame her for at all. Mia is acting like Alex stole Chase, when Mia is the one who broke up with him. She can’t get mad because she started to regret it after he moved on. It’s really kind of sad because I think Mia was a great side character before all this love triangle mess.
