It’s easier to spot if you are Jewish yourself I think because you are probably more familiar. For example, “berg” is a popular ending, which is in names like “Goldberg” “Steinberg”, etc. “Stein” is another popular ending. Like “Goldstein”, “Silverstein”, “Einstein”, “Epstein”, etc. there are also a lot of names that are generally seen as Jewish. Like Silver, Silber, Schultz, Bloomberg. Also a lot of first names, when paired with last names, are commonly seen as Jewish, such as Benjamin, Rachel, Elijah, issac, Sarah, Rebecca, etc.

Hebrews (people born Jewish) have distinct tells like their noses and a lot of their names are also spelled certain ways like Hannah vs Hanna. It’s not a guarantee to go based on name, but appearance does factor. You can’t obviously tell who is religiously Jewish, but you can tell who is born Jewish.
