At first reading the comments I thought yeah maybe Juli is being hard on Chase but on second thought, I disagree. Okay maybe she's being a bit literal but I don't think this is subject to just Chase. Juli is never really okay with any type of offensive joke this show has, like earlier this season when Brooke made a joke about Millicents addiction, she calls out all the slut shaming, and all the fat shaming, anything that comes off as racist or homophobic, she'll call it out. So even though we all know it's apparent that Juli doesn't like Chase I don't think it's completely biased.

Agreed! I also took the sex tape joke thing to be kinda a reassurance that the glasses aren't a big deal. You know? Like, she not only has that sex tape out, but she has done many nude scenes in films. It was explicitly stated that she has them in like, every movie she does. So Chase was kinda saying that compared to that, glasses shouldn't be a big deal... And like you said, it was lighthearted and a joke. She also full on flashed a bunch of people when they were playing golf that one time... She has never been ashamed of the fact that she's comfortable with her body or people seeing it. But the glasses is where she crosses the line. Which I find sad tbh... So many pretty people are ashamed of wearing glasses or whatever, when they really shouldn't be. :(

I feel like you are being too hard on Chase... him joking about the sex tape and her doing boys was light hearted. Alex didn't care about him joking like that with her because they have a close enough relationship for her to know he didn't mean it in a negative way. I'm sure if someone Alex wasn't close to or didn't get along with made that same joke she would have reacted differently.
It's like how I let my friends call me bitch in a very friendly way, but if someone I'm not close to said the same thing I would be a little ticked off.
The reason I say that you're being too unfair with Chase is because so many of your favorite characters have done/said a lot of questionable things yet you get over it by the next scene. But when Chase has a few episode where he was being a jerk you hang that over his head constantly.

I just love how supportive Mouth is of Millie. The fact that he could've been bitter that she got the job he'd been after, that he has so much experience with, but he's just not. He watches her with a smile and helps her out when she needs it, and is just all around happy for her. I just really like that, it's refreshing with shows...
Haley testing everyone is adorable and hilarious. I felt for them though. And the fact that she still managed to get Nathan and Clay even though Julian had told them what she'd been doing! I guess they kinda had to believe her though, because if they didn't and she actually was having the baby, that'd be bad... Haha
I weirdly enjoy the scene with all the guys. I just like seeing them all hang out and all that. Plus, Julian saying exactly what Nathan said, word for word, was great...
And I love Chase and Chuck, and Chase and Alex. I find them cute. :)

I really enjoy this season as a whole, but then again I’ve always enjoyed the slice of life type stories and I think that’s what I like about this season that instead of seeing our character suffering and being tortured we finally get to see them living their euphoric dreams, figuring out what comes next, and so on. If you’re coming to this for the drama I get it but at the same time I think it’s good they take a season to not just force drama on top of drama. I think having some episodes where they banter instead of worry about dying or losing their careers is good. Honestly I think the constant intense drama can be too much sometimes and it’s not like there isn’t any story or drama it’s just more integrated and not as upfront.

I so agree. Whenever I rewatch this episode, I have to skip over that weird diner scene because it makes me cringe. What was the point of the cellphone banter? It was so random and weird. But Haley's scenes really save the episode that was mostly full of weird pointless stuff with small moments of significance. While I love all seasons of the show, it is clear in this season they were running out of ideas for some characters who really deserved better storylines (i.e. Nathan, Alex, Quinn)

This is a meh episode to me overall, the conversations the characters have feel so pointless this season. Like the boys had a whole like 4 minute scene talking about phones and calling/texting people!? I get these types of conversations can happen but this season it felt like there were a lot of pointless conversations like this one, it got so repetitive. In the earlier seasons, almost every scene would push the story forward but I just didn’t get that with this episode or season tbh. The next episodes are better though but this season as a whole is just so... dare I say boring, in my opinion.
Haley had me on the floor laughing this episode, my child is a comedic genius. I adore her, her pranking everyone was funny. She’s always testing people, Once a tutor girl always a tutor girl! The Ian thing was predictable but I don’t mind it because at least there’s finally a fallout of what happened in 8x11. Even if don’t care about Ian’s character. Clay and Nathan’s friendship and partnership was the highlight of this episode, I love their friendship I wish they would interact with Julian more. Like all the time wasted on superhero’s, pointless conversation and chase, could’ve been given to developing other relationships.
Your comparison of chase and the intro was so spot on and hilarious, I like him more with this Chuck arc but boy is he insufferable sometimes. I actually like mouth and Millicent’s plot, but I hate that Millicent isn’t coming up with her own ideas, they’re really acting like she’s not a hard working woman who could easily do all of this on her own. She was basically co running a multi million dollar company, I’m pretty sure she could’ve done her research and bossed this job on her own. BUT, I still like this storyline because mouth and millicent are actually cute when they’re supporting each other and I was worried mouth was gonna be jealous but I like that this is the approach they’re taking with him. They’ve been very lost of what to do with him since like season 6, it’s very very obvious, so I’m enjoying not being utterly bored by him. Oh god who remembers him and Lauren zzzzzzzz
Don’t even ask what was happening with that toaster strudel nonsense, just another example of this show becoming an after school special lol. I wish they would’ve actually shown Alex working on her music more. Again this is all time they wasted on superhero’s, they should’ve given other storylines a chance to play out.

Lmao Quinn and her toaster pastries 🤣 Also Haley’s little “test” was hilarious. Honestly one of the funniest bits in the show. Especially the Julian one where he passed...out! Poor Julian.
