I think the most interesting storyline aside from Dan's this season is Clay's in my opinion. You're gonna love where they take it

I really like this season! Don’t get me wrong some of storylines I wasn’t a fan of but as a whole I liked it a lot!!

I agree! I actually liked seeing that Julian does not have everything under control all the time and that he makes mistakes too. And this is sadly such a common one.

really? that felt ooc for you? how? I mean, Julian always was a bit chaotic and when you take in how sleep-deprived, busy and overwhelmed he is in that moment, it totally made sense to me.
But please tell me how it felt out of character for you, I'm very interested :)

I have just such empathy for Julian here. Because we gotta remember it's not just that he's juggling his career with his kids, but also operating under minimal sleep as well. Of course, this is something that shouldn't happen. But when you see how incredibly terrible Julian feels about this and how much he questions his abilities as a father afterwards, you can't help but feel for him and forgive him for that.

I actually really enjoy Julian's storyline because it's something that happens in real life and we tend to see those who have had it happed through a very judgemental lens. There's also a bit of a background from the first episode and the show telling us him and Brooke are currently exhausted with the twins and the pressures of their respective business. Also, this was the first time I've seen a show tackle this and I haven't seen any other trying (I'm sure one out there has had it but I've just never seen it).

Unfortunately with the front half of Season 9, there’s a lot of weird/unnecessary storylines. The storyline with Mouth just tells me they didn’t know what to do with them. It’s not in character at all for Millie to just do all of that and it really sucks they even told it in the first place. The storyline with Julian and Davis is sad and also feels out of character and the storyline with Chris and Chase is weird at least in the beginning anyways. I do like the Quinn/Clay storyline though and the Brooke’s storyline is also great along with Haley and Dan’s.

Julian's accident with the kid was so heartbreaking, he will struggle for a few episodes

And here is the storyline of season 9 I strongly dislike. To me Julian would never do that! I mean, I know it happens, but after all the stuff they went through to have a child it just never felt right that Julian did this.

Haley and Dan's scenes are SO GOOD! The emotion behind them and the way the two actors are able to portray all that history. Haley couldn't stand this man back in high school, and she's come to recognize his desire for redemption. She takes so much pity on him and he also sees that, and he tries not to manipulate that, or use it to his advantage. I believe if Nathan and Lucas were not involved she could possibly find it within her heart to forgive him, but she will never forget the effects of what he has done to everyone in her life.
As for Brooke, I love her so much. The way she always manages to fake that smile when it comes to her parents, just so she doesn't make THEM feel uncomfortable. She's always thinking about their feelings. I love the scenes with Victoria and Brooke just being able to talk like mother and daughter, Brooke deserves it. It sucks that the only circumstances where her parents seem to ever want to be with her are when it comes to business.
Damn looking back these first episodes are nothing compared to what comes next and I CAN'T WAIT!!

Jana is actually on tour and making her music album during this as well as shooting some movies. So yes, that unfortunately is it for Alex’s storyline. They keep it open ended so that she can come back, but she ultimately didn’t. That’s why it’s kind of confusing and doesn’t seem like proper goodbye.

That whole situation with Julian always has me so conflicted! I think he's a really good dad who was just going through things and got distracted, but at the same time I can't believe someone could just forget their kid. Whenever I see stories about it I never think about what the parents were going through and maybe I should see it less black and white, but it is also hard to sympathize for such a massive mistake. Idk it is so conflicting!
