Yeah I definitely feel like I'll have to watch the performance for School Life to appreciate the context that it was created in - I think I didn't vibe it as much just because I couldn't see how it fit with the rest of the album but with that being said, this makes a hell of a lot more sense! Can't wait to watch the survival show with you!

so yeah, this is not a cohesive album in the sense that they wrote it to go together, but rather just a compilation of all the songs from their survival show that they released afterwards. For example, Glow, School Life, and 4419 were all made from a challenge they did where they split into groups of 3 and each write a song and choreograph it. So when the show ended and they debuted, they recorded ot9 versions of them for this little mixtape instead of using the 3:3:3 versions. As for "School Life", I actually loved it since I first heard it. idk, i just love how bright it is, especially compared to most of their other songs. Skz only has a handful of really cheerful sounding songs like this, so i hold onto and cherish every single one xD

4419 is the number of the bus chan and bambam used to take when they were a trainee. chan wrote this song for bambam.

4419, if i am not wrong, is the bus number they usually take to (get to their company?) and it is also the date of their first win, Rookie of the Year. :3

This was great! SKZ have so many amazing songs that people tend to just skip past because there's no MV or performance video for them so its great when people show them some love. These are all of the songs they wrote and performed on the survival show. They give more explanation about the meanings behind the songs too so i recommend checking it out if you're not already planning on it. Its also amazing to see how far they've come since pre-debut.
