SEVENTEEN [An Ode] Album Listening Party!

LINK TO WATCH: https://drive.google.com/file/d/132QTOuAH_hoMdskfCDgWVqe-8f6AVfJV/view?usp=sharing

Honestly, one of the best albums I've ever heard. Period. No skips. The ones I didn't initially vibe, I have had on repeat and they've fricking come for my ass 😳🤲

Seventeen are amazing and I respect them for so many reasons, but most of all it is how diverse the songs on their albums seem to be and how their sound caters to such a wide variety of listeners. The unit songs are just fricking awesome and I can't wait to watch so many performances of these songs.

An Ode = A Winner!

Thanks so much for watching guys! Sorry this is a little late (like I said, my internet was poop earlier in the week), and we will have Stray Kids and ATEEZ out later on tonight (Australian time)

Until then let me know down below, what's your favourite Seventeen song/album? Why?

Love you all, and see you in the next one!

Love your reaction! Their discography in general is very diverse and exactly as you said, they made me enjoy various kind of music genre😄 For lyric videos i suggest check seventeenlyrics youtube channel out, on that channel you could find also their covers and mixtapes! Stay happy and healthy:)

1. one word: y e s. thank you for reacting to this masterpiece! 2. if you go back any further into Seventeen's discography, you'll notice that basically every album has unit songs and that heng:garae was the first album without any units and semi;colon was the first album with age unit songs instead of sub unit songs! 3. this is an album with some of my favorite b-sides of all time from Seventeen -- "snap shoot" (there's a choreo version of this that's hilarious as well as a fifth anniversary video that Mingyu shot and edited, you should definitely watch those!) "247" and the queen herself "lie again" who feels like a love child between "dont wanna cry" and "without you" (which is a b-side from the teen:age album that was considered as the title track instead of "clap"). this album is ridiculously good! 4. fun fact: the "network love" unit is the international line unit -- joshua, vernon, jun and minghao. america line and china line has had songs done separately before (with "rocket" and "my i") but this is the first song they've done together and they now refer to themselves as the "network love" gang! if you ever start watching going seventeen either here or on your free time, they talk about it in the 2019 TTT episode! 5. I think I commented on your last album listening that it'd be cool for you to watch a lyric video or something because it'd help you identify who is singing what when you're listening to a new song, but this was an amazing compromise! this way, you can also learn if it's a unit song or not! 6. ok, I'll stop now lmao. thank you for this! honestly I know the 2 hour guide is a lot but I honestly can't wait to see you react to it because it's such a great way for baby carats to learn about their initial struggles, their close bond and how they've grown. thank you again!

My favorite album is An Ode, but my favorite song is probably Shhh, or Happy Ending, or maybe Fallin Flower (it's so hard to pick!!). As for the Unit songs, yes Seventeen always puts a song from each of their 3 main units: Vocal, Performance, and Hip Hop, on their albums. Sometimes they'll do mixed unit songs, so you get SO MUCH variety. 247 is performance unit. Second Life is Vocal unit. Network Love is Foreign Line (American line + China line). Back it Up is Hip Hop unit. Everything else is full group. I hope you watch the Snap Shoot MV filmed and directed by Mingyu, and the Happy Ending MV (a Japanese release originally. Seventeen's Japanese songs are on another level from most groups').

(Sorry my comments are long) I can't really choose a fave album. I stopped trying to rank ever since I heard TEEN, AGE and they kept releasing top-tier albums after like showing that they have more and more to offer but the past ones don't mean they aren't any better... So it's really hard to pick fave songs from AN ODE so I'm just going to base my ranking with the first listen - LIE AGAIN, 247, Let Me Hear You Say & SNAP SHOOT. While the ones that I had to warm up to with some more listening were Network Love, Back It Up and LUCKY. Well, LUCKY is my total jam alrèady and we have a fanchant with choreo for it so we can dance to this together with SVT xD I also had to warm up with HAPPY ENDING but with diff reason. I just super love the original ver (japanese) that it took me quite long to like the Korean ver. You'll understand me (and majority of Carats) why we prefer the Japanese ver. It just slaps in your face lol... And lastly, yes, they usually have unit songs per album. Usual units would be vocal, hiphop & perf. Here in AN ODE they're Second Life, Back It Up & 247 respectively. Another unit song here is Network Love by China line+American line. For SEMICOLON, the units are special (a real gift for us), they're based on age lines - 95z, 96z, 97z and maknaline. The only album with NO unit songs was HENG:GARAE.

Yay, I had a great time with this listening party! It's really enjoyable listening and immersing to SVT music with you. Seeing you genuinely bopping and swaying to each song makes me smile and just feel so proud of these boys. Thank you for constantly appreciating their discography and them being such great artists and performers. I'm glad you enjoyed how diverse this album is. It's true that we have diff preferences in music and, as you also said, it's amazing how even if a certain song sounds like not the usual style you like, it turns out to be really good if it's from SVT.

You should watch a live stage for Snap Shoot, it's so fun! It also has a dance practice and a music video made entirely by Mingyu. Also, about Happy Ending, Happy Ending was a Japanese comeback (which, in my humble opinion, is superior to the Korean version)!

Yes! This was definitely my favorite album until Semicolon came out! The unit songs in this one were definitely the highlights. Especially 247 because as you dive deeper into Seventeen discography you will see The8 and Jun have always had the least lines even in their units songs. Because, as they are not native Korean speakers, their Korean isn't as proficient. However they have both vastly improved, especially The8 with his singing, and 247 is not only insane because it's a ballad (the Performance Team has always done basically dance type music/songs just due to the nature of them needing to dance to their songs), but ALSO because the line distribution is literally perfect and even among all 4! If you can spare the funds I HIGHLY recommend buying the VOD in Weverse of Caratland they did a few months ago. The performance they did for Caratland of 247 was INSANELY beautiful. Thank you for reacting as always! My faves besides 247 are Lie Again and Lucky (I know it's pretty basic but that high energy just makes me happy!) Also I'm Caratland they performed Lucky behind a backdrop of video sent in my fans dancing to Lucky! It was pretty emotional haha :)
